Back to Halo 2.

You could show me a video of the game and tell me it's storybook style FMV, and I'd believe you. Why oh why can't more companies be developing gorgeous 2D games? I like what I've tried of the gameplay so far too. It seems like it'll put up a nice challenge.
I also played some Pikmin 2 on GameCube. I don't even want to know how much my boyfriend had to spend to get me the game, but I'm definitely appreciative. Seems like roughly more of the same, but that's a good thing in this case. It's a little weird not having a time limit, though. I'm wondering where the difficulty will come from.
And since he can't resist giving me a joke gift every Christmas, I tried out Mortal Kombat on my Game Boy Advance SP, which is a reference to the ridiculous present that was given in last year's DP Secret Santa (I like to tell him about the silly stuff that goes on here like Bio Force Ape and Joe's hilarious response to the dumbass as he tried to sign up for another Secret Santa, which necessitated an explanation of course). Too bad he didn't do his research and gave me the black and white game rather than the GBA one. :P I don't know why he must torment me with stupid presents, but I guess this is better than Bubsy 3D, haha.
And while it's not new, I finally got back into Valkyrie Profile: Toga o Seoumono on DS after what had to be at least a couple months of letting it sit idle. I've been apprehensive about getting back into the game not only because it's been so long but also because of how frustrating it had become. Thank goodness I got past that horrid final battle in chapter 3, so I was able to ease back into it with some story scenes and easier optional battles. This chapter actually has two optional battles rather than the usual one, so that'll help out a little. My battery was running low, so I'm saved in the middle of the first one right now.
And just because they were there, I decided to play some New Super Mario Bros. and Mario Kart DS, which are being borrowed from my boyfriend's brother. I actually found New Super Mario Bros. rather underwhelming. I don't think the controls are tight enough, and it just feels derivative, beyond the addition of more recent Mario abilities that really have no place in a Mario sidescroller, like the wall jump. Mario Kart DS is pretty cool, though. I really have an urge to get back into that series since I haven't seriously played a Mario Kart since Mario Kart 64. I didn't put much effort into Double Dash, I didn't play the GBA one at all, and my experience with the DS and Wii games is very limited. Oh well, someday.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention I've been practicing Centipede via Atari Anniversary Advance on my Game Boy Advance SP, like usual. I've gotten up to 60-some thousand, but I still haven't reached my old high score.
Still playing The Last Remnant on 360. This game has insane amount of sidequests, I can't remember the last RPG I played that had this many. I've spent more time doing them than the main story.
Played a bit of Professor Heinz Wolff's Gravity on the DS before work but forgot to bring it along with me, so now I'm stuck on an 8 hour shift with nothing to do but browse the forums (not that that's a bad thing )

7th Saga(SNES)
Not much of a fan of the game as it's a huge grind. I just can't really stop playing it after I started. Thankfully I'm near the end of the first part of the game. It'll be the second time I've finished the game. I was planning on getting an ally near the end of the game though looks like I screwed that up again.
More of The Last Remnant. Finally made it to disc 2, and I still don't like the combat. I finish every game I buy though, and this will be no exception.
I'm currently playing Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion GotY edition. I love the Shivering Isles, the scenery reminds me a lot of Morrowind.
Bloodrayne on Xbox.

Still playing 7th Saga. Started a new game on GTA4. This is the first time I'm seeing the newly implemented trophy system. I never liked the gamerscore on the 360 and I don't really like the trophy system either as it's the exact same thing. However, since it's there and I do happen to like GTA4 alot, I'm going to have to complete it all 100%.
I'm falling back into Valkyrie Profile: Toga o Seoumono on DS quite nicely now. It seems like tri-Ace realized what hell the final battle in chapter 3 was, so chapter 4 starts off fairly easy. I had no trouble with the two optional battles, and the first story battle was possibly even easier. I now have access to weapons that have Soul Crushes for every character, which makes a world of a difference both in killing off enemies and in racking up a lot of karma. I actually managed double karma in the first story battle, but the rewards weren't that spectacular (probably because it wasn't very hard to do so). I'm on the second story battle now, and I've lost a couple times. It's another one of those "protect the NPC" battles, and of course the NPC has dirt stupid AI. He's also like... a mile away, so even with everyone dashing, he's still dying before I reach him. It's getting a bit frustrating, but at least the enemies aren't too hard for me to take out. If I can just reach him fast enough, I should get through it fine.
I also finally started up my Xbox 360 again. I tried out the pack-in Sega Superstars Tennis, and while it's not terrible, it's not great either. Mainly it just made me wish I was playing Mario's Tennis on Virtual Boy, hehe. I also tried out more of my Secret Santa gifts. I popped in Enchanted Arms, and I played long enough to bust out of the school. I've played a lot of RPGs with effeminate guys, but I think this may be my first with an openly gay transvestite, haha. It's pretty funny because usually From Software makes such manly games like Armored Core, King's Field, and Shadow Tower. I also tried out Blue Dragon. Seems basically like Dragon Quest VIII if it wasn't cel-shaded. Really nice intro too. It's exciting right from the get-go, and it gets to some gameplay pretty fast. Way too many RPGs these days take forever to get going, or they try to make it exciting in the wrong kind of way, like Infinite Undiscovery's endless chase scenes.
More Bloodrayne.
