Just today—$84 for a loose copy of Suikoden II to replace the one my friend borrowed from me (without asking) and lost. If he ever finds it and returns it... well, I think I've still got the case and instructions at the bottom of a drawer somewhere, so I'll just sell that and make back what I spent, plus a little extra.

I paid $80 for Garou: Mark of the Wolves for Neo-Geo MVS. Thats not that much for one game compared to some and I'm sure I'll eventually pay more in the future for a single title.

I don't believe I've ever spent more than $80 on a game. Fallout 3 collectors edition.

I haven't had to pay that much for anything else, even my Garou MVS cart or Snow Bros(CIB) for NES.

Believe it or not, the game I've spent the most money on isn't an old game by any means.

I picked up that $150 Dead Space LE. Besides for that, I paid in the lower 100's for both my N64 Bangai-O and Twinkle Tale (both very minty). If I can ever get an AES or Turbo Duo I'll most likely be dropping some cash on a Dungeon Explorer II or Shock Troopers 2nd AES. Both may never happen, as both would cost me hundreds and hundreds. :P

I find it amazing that none of you guys had a Neo-Geo in the early to late 90's. Don't you remember? $200+ games?

Oh I remember those days. Once I got older I decided to collect Neo-Geo games. Considering the price now and the fact that I can't stand to pay over $200.00 now for a cart that I wouldn't play (due to wear and tear) I went the MVS route. Three cabs, two converters and one home system later I'm glad I went the MVS route.

Most I've spent on a game....hmm. It would have to be my ESP.RADE PCB. Got it for $170.

I have had my Neo-Geo since November, 1990. It was an 18th birthday present for me. Problem is, since it had to be mail-ordered (major US stores didn't carry it until 1991), it arrived a week or two late. Oh well, I didn't complain that my $600 birthday present was slightly belated. That would just be wrong.

    Wow! That's kind of awesome.

    My most expensive games:

    Panzer Dragoon Saga - $170 I think
Zelda: Wand of Gamelon - $120

I was a poor college student in the early 90s, I certainly wasn't spending $200+ on a game then. Maybe $200 in a year. $200 paid my share of the rent in grad school!

I love games, but they've always been a luxury item for me. When I was young and broke I played cheap PC games and rented console stuff (unless I could find on clearance). I don't know how some of the younger members on this forum do it, frankly.

Carefully arranging finances and obligations to ensure both a comfortable savings account and sizable disposable income.

I paid about one hundred dollars for a mint copy of D&D Collection for the Saturn, but I think that's about the most I've paid for anything. I very nearly bought another Radiant Silvergun to replace a stolen copy, but restrained myself. One day...

Luckily, most of my interests are in the PS1 era and after, and the games I'm interested in that date before that are usually collected cheaply.

the most I ever spent was about $95 on Fina Fantasy VII. I wish I had snagged that back in the 90s.

Default What's the most you've ever spent on a single gaming item?

Excluding brand new systems and games. This is only regarding stuff that you had to hunt for, either online or in the wild.

For me, it was just my Sega Saturn, which I paid $39.99 for. I don't think I've ever paid more than that for a classic item. All of my especially valuable stuff, I got bargains on.
