$79.99 plus tax for Chrono Trigger at TRU. I lived in a rural part of NC at the time with very few game shops around, and couldn't resist the game any longer. How I long for the days when my only bill was a $92 a month car payment, even if I was barely making over minimum wage after school.
Interestingly enough (to me anyway), I didn't really know what I was getting. It was my first RPG, but I was convinced to buy it by Flea Market Guy (who gave me a little info about RPGs when I asked why some of his SNES games were so much more expensive) and the awesome CT ads. When I first started playing, I sat there a minute before realizing that *I* had to advance the dialogue further.
It made me 30 some cents short when I bought gas on the way home that fateful night, but luckily the guy was kind enough to let me come back and pay it the next day (which I'm proud to say I did). It also kicked off a craving for good RPGs that will probably never be quenched.

$500 for a grey NWC. Or $1,500 (counting all the repairs I had to do) for a cockpit Discs of Tron coinop. Pick your poison.
$190 for Odyssey 2 Power Lords off ebay the other day because I am tired of losing out on auctions for this game and anything else good that I find on ebay lately. Hopefully it's nice so I won't feel too bad about paying so much for this game.

I paid about $110 (Australian dollars) for Top Gear Rally 2 (brand new) for my N64. That's about $55 US dollars.
Our games aren't usually that expensive, but this was just after the GST (Goods & Services Tax) was introduced in Australia. Third-party video games were hurt the most.
I would have to say Zelda Ocarina of time for N64. I don't remember how much it costed but its probably up there with the other N64 games.

the most i ever paid is when i was burning paper route money on N64, so 59.99, and the most i've ever sold one game for was 160 for kung Fu and roughly 200 for excitebike, that excitebike was my baby![]()
The most I ever paid for a game was $140US for a mint Panzer Dragoon Saga. The most I ever paid for a game and still want to slit my throat is $130Canadian for Hexen64 >I also took a $15 cab ride across town to the only store that had it in stock. Ya I am a clown

$250 for Space Channel 5 Part 2 LE. So it was more for the accessories than the game, but well worth it.
I paid $700 for my NEO GEO MVS 6 slot dedicated machine, and $92 for a MINT Metal Slug X U.S. kit.
For home systems - $51.00 for a sealed Maxi-15, and $49.99 for any number of other games.
Great to deal with: Leonk, AdamG, Cheesystick, DigitalPress, ButtaSuperb, Hydr0x, Darth Vader, Gary Gnu, Portnoyd, NexWave, Postermen, Kaine23, ARCZero, kai123, Buyatari, Minilek, DREW, bighab, AlanD, Flack
Hmmm....I'd say $75 for Shinning Force 3 still with the case and instructions in perfect condition
$250 and a tank of gas for my MR Do! upright arcade game. There's no substitute for the original!!!!
67 posts later and I finally get around to answering.
I asked this question because I had just paid $250 for a boxed Atari 2600 "Lochjaw". You may have expected that I've paid much more for some of the other things in my collection, like the boxed "Malagai", boxed "Video Life" - both of which would go for well over a grand if I were to sell - or the piles of prototypes I've amassed over the years, but you'd be wrong. Fortunately I've stumbled into lots of great stuff mainly from just being in the right place before everyone else or being terribly persistent with owners (you know who you are).
So that's it for me, $250 for a boxed Atari 2600 "Lochjaw". Closest to that would be $200 for a boxed Intellivision Congo Bongo.
I feel so unsatisfied...

I just forked over $220.00 for the Sega Saturn and PC Engine Duo versions of Steam Heart's.
I was expecting a whole four digit sum from you, Joe. $250 is your maximum? I... I just feel so... used.Originally Posted by digitalpress

$355 for a complete bubble bath babes (brand new, never used)
BTW, if I could find a NWC gold cart, 4K would probably be a deal right now. Last summer one was on ebay and hit almost 7K and the RESERVE WAS NOT MET! I don't know, but if I see one, I WILL buy it!!
