Default What just is a sega CDX.

Some guy at the swap meet has a CDX, and i would like to know what it is. He is asking $20 for it, but i think he would go lower. Would this be a good deal or not?

It's worth more than $50 to most people! GET IT! It was part of our "day 12 final amazing prize" in the 12 Days of DP X-Mas contests here, so we think pretty highly of it. Come on, Genesis, Sega CD, and CD Player all in one? You NEED it.

I know this has been brought up before but no one had a definitive answer. Is there a mod to play Japanese MegaCDs on a US CDX. I got a sega CDX and some games/cds in exchange for a Gameboy Color + Zelda DX back before gameboy advance came out...but I really want to be able to play megacds on it, and i really dont want to buy a japanese cdx because im sure they are expensive here!

They will play CDR's. Take your MEGACD, run it through SCDConv http://www.phantasy-star-universe.co...CD%20Utilities and burn. Some games have issues.

    Done, and backed up too.

Yeah I would jump on a 20 dollar CDX in a heartbeat!

I bought mine on eBay about a year ago for about 160, but it was a Brand New unit and the guy tossed in about 25 (albeit backups), but also included the original (authentic) CD-X pack in games with the cardboard boxes and that cardboard loop thingy that fits around them.

I love my CD-X. My CD-X Loves Snatcher & Sonic CD!
