    Default Sears Intellivision games AGAIN!

I have been trying to figure out for sure which cartidge labels are the correct ones for Sears boxes since I started collecting 6 or 7 years ago. There is conflicting information about which ones did or did not come in Sears boxes. I just bought a lot off ebay that included a boxed Sears system about 15 boxed Sears games and about 15 regular Intellivision games. The person who I bought it from is not a video game dealer and I have no reason to believe these games are not exactly they came from the factory. The Sears Baseball, Basketball and Football all have the League logos on them. They are all made in Hong Kong versions and the box states made in Hong Kong except one and that label does not country of origin on it. This is enough evidence to satisfy me. In my opinion they put whatever they had at the time in the Sears boxes not white label or no logo versions.
    Thanks, y-bot

There is no connection between Sears games and white label games. They used whatever color labels they had at the time.

Not sure about the logo thing though. I don't think there is any difference between Sears and normal Intv games other than the box and manual.

    Check the source:

    http://www.intellivisionlives.com

IIRC, Keith Robinson has a pretty detailed accounting of why the white label carts... they were cheap, and were used on carts recycled/released after INTV Corp bought the rights to the Intellivision in '84.

Every Sears cart I've ever gotten has looked identical to the Mattel variety.

I never thought the white labels were Sears but that is what it says in the Digital Press guide. This topic has come up several times on this message board and on RGVC newsgroup. Lots of people think the Sears version do not have the proffesional logos on them. All I am saying is I don't think that is true.

I agree. In addition to some of the ones you listed, I found a boxed Sears Hockey and the cart inside had the NHL logo on it. It wasn't sealed, so I can't be sure it is the original cart though. Someone must have some sealed Sears games they can open up.

You're DEFINITELY right, if my word helps you sleep at night

It's among many corrections in line for a future guide!
