Default Do you this is a risky Sega cdx transaction?

I bought this. I talked the seller into finishing it early for 60 Us. HE says that he tried with 2 AA batteries and it DOES power up and that the disc SPINS.....would you have taken the chance? (as i did)

IM just afraid to burn 90 US in this transaction...shipping to mexico alone is 27 US :S

But if he says it turns on and the disc spins when used as a Cd player, then theres a 99% chance it WILL play games, right??? ç

    Thanks for your answer

Ask him if he can switch tracks while playing an audio disc, and if the timer actually starts counting seconds, minutes, etc, then that is a good indication the motor and laser assembly work.

Of course, the fact that he has two games in that auction has me wondering why he would list it as untested to begin with, even if he didn't have the cables for it there's nothing stopping him from testing it with a pair of headphones or something.

With 2 AA batteries you can only play audio cds on a Sega Cdx (you cant play genesis or Sega Cd Games)

Why the hell does it cost $27 to ship that to Mexico? How much do those things weigh?

I calculated postage for a 3lbs. parcel. Thats the price to ship it to mexico via EMS (it takes 4-6 days to arrive) whereas regular air mail costs 17.75 US and takes up to 25 days!!! I am going to pay those 10 extra dollars so i can have it here fast

Holy crap , I sent you a PM with a list and thought you just didn't want any.
Now I just looked in my SentBox and there's nothing there .
So I guess it didn't got through.
    Let me send another one.
