PS2 Modding - I need some direction

I'm interested in modding my PS2.

I dont know much about where to start. I dont want to mail my PS2 somewhere to be modded like I did with my cube, I would much rather bring it somewhere.

I live in NYC, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Search on google for mod chip suppliers. Most of them have online information on how to do it yourself.

Just call around the local small local videogame stores. You might get yelled at by some of them, but so what :P Eventually you'll find one that sells chips and does modding.
