I mean my god, look at this one FRAGMENT of a sentance:

Infinium Labs, Inc. into Infinium Labs Operating Corporation with Infinium Labs Operating Corporation surviving as a wholly owned subsidiary of Infinium Labs, Inc.

"We're gonna say infinium labs a lot, in different ways, and release it as a press statement, because we haven't said anything in a couple months now, OK?"

he it they prolly put all the investers money into company A. Realy actually does anything with company B that he owns. Then rents company B's building, B's cars, B's compnents, B's everything. Bilks the money from company A to company B, then eventually tells the investers he needs more money. they fold, then B bys A.

well who knows, but this is normal business prac.

The part about it being an industry-leading game company cracks me up. They have yet to prove anything, and they call themselves "industry-leading"??? WTF?

Is this another wacky publicity stunt? As I read the press anouncement, I kept waiting for the part that explained what it meant clearly. I was met with more and more paradoxial gobbledeegook that just seems to add fuel to the fire regarding the whole Phantom sham.

This is quite possibly the worst non-Acclaim publicity stunt I've ever seen. Aside from saying "Infinium" a whole bunch of times, it just leaves everyone confused.

This just might be more entertaining than the N-Gage was, as far as self-destructive business models and financial implosions go. I still say this whole thing is a fraud--a shameless attempt by a corrupt corporate criminal (say that three times fast) to bilk investors and gamers alike out of millions. The scary thing is, he looks to be doing fairly well at it. Well, at least at the investor part of the equation.

I still can't wait for Reader Rabbit's glorious return to gamers everywhere. Who WON'T be in line for that? Can't wait! Oh, and who could forget Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing? 3rd graders everywhere must be peeing their pants in anticipation.

I think the key to understanding is here:
Infinium Labs, Inc., formerly Global Business Resources, Inc.
So, basically, Global Business Resources bought Infinium and then changed its name to Infinium.

The company you knew as Infinium is now a subsidiary of Global Business Resources, only Global Business Resources is now called Infinium. It's actually not as confusing or strange as it sounds.

I just got that same email. I think they have us down for signing up for the beta program. That is the only thing I can think of. Either way this email is screwed up.

Sort of like how Infogrames bought all the Atari rights, and then changed their name to Atari... except since Atari was basically defunct, it wasn't as confusing.

Anyone know what "Global Business Resources" did before this? The name is so generic, it could be basically anything. Sounds like a spam or telemarketing company.

Got the same e-mail, and found this really cool news article on a web-site froma few months back:

    http://www.hardocp.com/article.html?art=NTEy

This is a huge scam set-up. My personal favorite part of the article is the Receptionist who actually goes up to the 8th floor...

    And there's the website:

    http://www.globalbusinessresources.com/

Man oh man...doubt they're related, but still....

Of course they're being completely honest about being an industry-leading company. They just fail to mention that the industry in question is Delusional Men Talking to Sock Puppets.
