Anybody playing it? I'm wondering if it's worth buying.

Everything about the game is really cool. Good graphics, good sound, it really captures the classic Battlestar Galactica look.
One MAJOR problem. The difficulty really sucks!!!! Alot of the missions are really brutal. I've seen reviews where they say that the later missions are easy, but I've had a hard time getting past the first few.
Don't they play test these games before they are released???
It looks pretty spiffy to me. Don't anyone tell Altairboy about this `cause then he'd go out to buy a PS2 just to play it (Not like he's a fan of Battlestar Galactica or anything)
Watch it pal or I'll zap you with my pulsar gun!:Originally Posted by retrotaku
I've mentioned that I'm not a fan of the classic BSG but the jury's not out yet on the new BSG. But who knows? Playing the game might change my whole attitude.
of course they playtested the game- the testers are just REALLY good...Originally Posted by neotokeo2001
but seriously, who wants an EASY shooter. the game is quite good, but the difficulty can be a bit annoying at times, especially in the (noooo) escort and turret shooting missions, which turn you or your allies into sitting ducks in a really crowded shooting galllery...
Can anyone tell me which version, XBOX or PS2, of this game is best? I think I'm going to break down and buy it.

Funny, I just got done playing this one for the first time. My initial impression was a poor one. The graphics are alright, but a little too dark...I had the tendency to fly into objects like ships and asteroids because they sort of bleneded in with the dark background. I was disappointed by the sounds, especially the weak explosions of the Cylon Raiders.
The worst thing about it is that your comrades and wingmen are constantly calling you on your radio and popping up in "video" boxes. I found this so distracting I ranted about it in a separate thread:

After playing it for a little while I found a couple things I like. If you double-tap the accelerate button, you can boost just like in the TV show. Neat! Also, playing around with the weapons I discovered a way to target multiple enemies (I think you hold down the square button). I don't know if I'd recommend you buy it, but I'm up for another session later.
