    Default Favorite Vector arcade game

I'm not sure if this topic has been done before; I'm sorry if it is. Anyway, I would have to say my favorite vector game is Tac/San. That game is so incredibly addictive. I guess a close second would be Major Havok. That game rocks so much. I love how it combines so many different elements of gameplay.

It's all about stepping onto the BattleZone arcade machine, pushing your eye sockets into the view finder, grabbing those twin sticks, and forgetting about the rest of the world....

Now? Definitely Major Havoc. Strong 2nd is Star Wars. I also have a fascination with the troublesome Cinematronic games with Tail Gunner up at the top.

    Gravitar.

Then Star Wars, then maybe Star Castle.

Basically I love all vector games, period. I like your list, Brother of Noah, but in a different order. I'll put Star Castle at the top of mine. Aside from the fantastic gameplay, at the very least Star Castle is the LOUDEST vector game I've ever heard .

Gravitar was one of the first things I "discovered" when I got into MAME and I still play it quite regularly (I even like the 2600 version). It would have been a bigger hit if the enemies weren't so damned aggressive.

Star Wars is good, but I'm not good at Star Wars. Tempest burned itself into my optic nerves when I was a child, so it goes on my list, too.

Honarary mention goes to the 2004 vector release Strong Bad Zone.

If you're asking me to choose between Star Wars and Tempest, then you've got a hard time! Quickly followed by Battlezone, Star Castle, Major Havoc and Gravitar...

    Let's see...
    Never really got into Tempest
Found Battle zone got boring after a while
    Star Wars was always fun
Asteroids Deluxe was a blast for a while
Major Havoc was pure gaming gold!

That's all the one's I've played the actual arcade machines for.

I gotta go with Major Havoc. That game kicks so much ass.

Hmmm. Let me go look at the Tempest machine in my living room. I'd have to say . . . Tempest. Second choice would be Tempest Tubes. When I get a Space Duel machine, that goes into second place.

I've had the most fun playing Armor Ambush (two player co-operative) and Space War. I also really like Rip-Off.

Has anyone here played Quantum? I've yet to see it in person myself.

As a kid I was all about the Star Castle, Star Wars, and Asteroids. In recent times I've also grown to dig Rip Off and Gravitar.
