Default Panasonic 3DO not reading game discs. Help Please!!!!!!!!!!

I recently found a Panasonic in the wild but much to my dismay when I got it home and set it up none of the games that I have boot up. I get a message on the screen telling me to insert a disc. The discs are relatively scratch free so I don't think that is the problem. I took off the top of the unit and have discovered that the discs once inserted into the machine do not spin. I am a novice at this restoration stuff but I initially thought that a dirty lense could be my problem but now I am figuring it must be something more serious. I do get a repetitive 3DO advertisement promo sort of thing when the system is turned on but again the games don't work. Does anybody have a guess as to the cause of this problem and if so please share with me any possible fixes. Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Probably the laser, or the transport (motor). Not an easy fix. the easiest thing, would be to try to locate another 3DO with a diff problem, and cobble together from the two.

I'm sure the Panasonic 3DO uses a transport and laser that is no doubt common to some other Panasonic appliance, like a CD player. The trick is to find the right one. A lot of googling... this would be the 'hard way'.

    Sorry.

Maybe a fuse for the cd motor on the main board is blown ?
Try doing a google search and see if someone has a pic showing the different fuses on a 3DO board.
