Watch This is Spinal Tap. That ought to answer your questions.

It's amusingly ironic that Working Designs used to host a review page on its site, and that it took years before one of their own games was given a rating of eleven.

Nigel: No, you've seen enough of that one. This is a top to a, you know, what we use on stage, but it's very...very special because if you can see...
    Marty: Yeah...
Nigel: ...the numbers all go to eleven. Look...right across the board.
    Marty: Ahh...oh, I see....
    Nigel: Eleven...eleven...eleven....
Marty: ..and most of these amps go up to ten....
    Nigel: Exactly.
Marty: Does that mean it's...louder? Is it any louder?
Nigel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most...most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here...all the way up...all the way up....
    Marty: Yeah....
Nigel: ...all the way up. You're on ten on your guitar...where can you go from there? Where?
    Marty: I don't know....
Nigel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is if we need that extra.. push over the cliff...you know what we do?
Marty: Put it up to eleven.
    Nigel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder.
Marty: Why don't you just make ten louder and make ten be the top... number... and make that a little louder?

    Nigel: These go to eleven.

    Bahahahahaha!

Seriously, here's a guy who seems so full of himself it'd make David Lee Roth turn red. I used to hang around RPGfan years ago, and Vic kept in contact with fans through interviews and such with the site. I think he even had an account for their message boards. That all seemed to change the moment he noticed that a poster or two dared to mention that they weren't crazy about the way WD did their games. Suddenly, RPGfan was a haven for dribbling fanboys and losers, and Vic didn't have any problem at all insinuating as much in posts on his own message board. All ties were pretty much severed there and then over a couple random board regulars (not staff members or anything) not being in love with the company. I think the last thing I heard about him and RPGfan was when he cried and sent them a cease and desist letter similar to the one Digital Press got a couple months back over some sort of crticism of him and the company that was posted on the site. Trip Hawkins has nothing on this guy.

Li Wang, do you have a link to either this letter or the one that was sent to Digital Press?

VGD is stocking Alundra and AtLC brand new now...

I'd recommend Alundra to anyone who missed it - it's hard to find bad 2D Zelda clones, let alone good ones!

Anyways, it looks like the servers have just been up and down for the past week or so. No cause for alarm (or cheers, judging from comments in this thread ) yet.
