    Default N64 console Variations

I was thinking of this while reading another thread about the gold N64. How many US N64 console variations are there?? I remember these:

    Pokemon(yellow w/pikachu on it)
donkey kong (green color I think)
    gold TRU LE

I know there were plenty of others. Can anyone help me out??

Ugh...off the top of my head:

    Color Variations:
    Original Grey
    Clear Green
    Clear Turquoise
    Clear Black
    Clear Orange
    Clear Purple
    Clear Red
    TRU Gold
    Pokemon Deck and Controller

    Package Variations
    Atomic Purple Controller
    Donkey Kong Jungle Pack
    Star Wars Episode 1 Pack
    Pokemon Stadium Pack
    TRU Gold Version
The one with the Oddball Green Controller (Nuclear or something?)

My brain keeps wanting to add one more in each column, but nothing's coming to mind...

Does anybody know if these were limited to some number? I think the TRU had numbers on them.

I've got an unopened TRU gold system and it's not numbered.

There was a TRU variation on the Pokemon system that came with a Pikachu watch and the Hey You, Pikachu game/microphone.

The system color variants were standard dark gray, ice (blue), fire (orange), smoke (black), watermelon (red), jungle (green), and grape (purple), Pikachu (yellow/blue) and TRU gold.

In controllers: gray, black, red, blue, yellow, green, extreme green (Mountain Dew green), atomic purple, banana yellow (Donkey Kong set; may have been the same as the original yellow), fire, ice, smoke, watermelon, grape, jungle, TRU gold (which was also sold separately), and Pokemon (yellow/blue).

I think the extreme green controller was also a TRU exclusive because there's a matching Game Boy Pocket that was.

The DK bundle set I have is a clear green console and controller (basically watermelon from the fun-tastic line, but with a different box, no game or exp. pak)

I have a limited edition controller from Toys R Us for the N64.. it is clear green and its offical color name is Atomic Green. It came in the same size box as individual controllers but said TRU exclusive on it.

wasn't there also a gold controller that was commemorative for Nintendo Power # 100. I also think there was a gold gameboy pocket with the same deal. How bout a system along these lines?

    Correct.

The neon lime green transparent controller was a TRU Exclusive, packaged as "EXTREME GREEN". The boxed system came with ONE controller, and it was the light see-through green one.

I only know this because that is the boxed version that I have.

The controller was NOT sold separately, just as the "Atomic Purple" transparent purple controller was NOT sold separately from that package.

The Atomic Purple package included two controllers, but only one of them was purple (the other was the normal grey version.)

Also, the 6 "transluscent colored" systems (watermelon, ice, smoke, etc.) came with one controller in a matching colored plastic. These were NOT sold separately either.

Funny enough, the original "colored controllers" (solid red, green, blue, yellow, black) were not packed in with any system.
Great to deal with: Leonk, AdamG, Cheesystick, DigitalPress, ButtaSuperb, Hydr0x, Darth Vader, Gary Gnu, Portnoyd, NexWave, Postermen, Kaine23, ARCZero, kai123, Buyatari, Minilek, DREW, bighab, AlanD, Flack

The Extreme Green controller was packaged seperately...as I have the sepereate box that just the controller came in.

i just noticed that i have a box for my atomic purple controller too. i don't know if this box was inside of the n64 system box, or if it was sold separately. does anyone know if the controller sold with the n64 had its own box inside the system box?

I am pretty sure it did not. I have the same thing at home, but no box for the atomic purple controller. However, i could be wrong. I will check later tonight.

No seperate box for the included version, it was just snug inside a basic cardboard holder next to the standard N64 styrofoam tray in an extended box.
