Any use for outdated network adapters/network carts?

Are any of the old network carts/adapters of any use in some creative way? Off the top of my head:

2600: Gameline
Intellivision: (cable modem adapter)
Nintendo Famicom Modem adapter
SNES Xband
Genesis Xband,cable adapter (don't remember)
Jaguar: prototype Jagmodem (supposed still can be used for direct dial play)
Saturn: netlink
Dreamcast: dial-up adaper, broadband adapter

I would think that none of the Xband adapters would work. They required special code to be downloaded for connectivity for each game.

The Saturn Netlink should still work for direct player-to-player connection and for dial up net surfing. The DC should still work for surfing, but the game servers are gone (as far as I know).

The Sega Channel Service is long gone. I just got a Sega Channel adapter and I'm wondering if there is a way to download ROMS into it.

I've often wonder this too...especially the whole Sega Channel thing.

Hey, where'd you get one of those? Perhaps some reverse-engineering by some smart folks would be in order.

Hah! maybe you can trick it with a Cable internet connection and a lan or something with some roms on a seperate computer.

Genesis Xband

The Genesis X-Band actually has a hidden game built in. It is a pong variant with fish floating back and forth. I think there may be a few other mini games too, I just can't remember. Just look it up in the hidden game faq.

So for that I think any genesis collector has to have one in their collection.
