Arrgg! Too late. I've been looking for that game for a bit - the wife has been playing it on the C64 and the Amiga but it might be a bit more convienent on the NES

Is that the game that has cartoony characters representing the soldiers? If so, it's based on a French comic book series called Les Tuniques Bleues. How's the gameplay of that game?

Yes, the characters do have a rather cartoony look. The game plays a lot like a Koei strategy game.
