    Default RetroGaming on NPR

forgive me if this information is already posted somewhere else, but there are good things that be said about redundancy.

    the page is

    http://search.npr.org/cf/cmn/cmnpd01...2F2002&PrgID=3

the link to the real audio file
    http://www.npr.org/ramfiles/me/20021017.me.16.ram

NPR interviewed Albert Yarusso from Atari Age. The interview doesn't tell you anything you didn't already know but it's another sign that retrogaming is getting attention from the mundanes. Now I wish there was a program that could tell me if an article in the public sector drives prices on ebay up or not.

    Answer: YES.

By the way, Classic Gaming Expo and it's many characters, guests, and (gulp) organizers have appeared on Tech TV, CNN, G4, Game Informer, Next Generation, BPM, and a score of big time newspapers. Vintage gaming has been "in the spotlight" for quite some time.

Is it part of the reason why the prices grow and the scarce games get scarcer? YES.

Is it welcomed by that part of the classic gaming community who want to "turn on" gamers of today, young or old, to the games of yesterday? YES.

    Hope this helps.

Speaking strictly from what I've seen locally, our local Cincinnati Enquirer giving retrogaming a front page marquee, front page "Weekend" section props and getting a featured story was by far one a huge impetus for the Cinciclassic show as well as classic gaming around here, so yeah, the word is definitely out there. And I agree, it's got a ton of advantages, the only disadvantage is that it makes harder to find cause more collectors collect and more players are playing ... it's all good in the wash.
