Default Crack-smoking UK Sega buyers strike again!

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&category=3644

Look people, this is just silly now. SoR3 has been regularly pulling in £50+ recently, but this is just getting daft. Even loose carts have been going for £30+.
While it's a great game, and in high demand, the simple fact is that it's not that rare. There were 25 PAL copies on eBay between September and December last year when I was logging auctions for the PAL rarity list, and that puts it on a par with stuff like Outrun, Rolo to the Rescue and Kick Off 3.
Still glad I got mine for £2.50

Something must be in the water over there :P
It seems like every time I see a U.K. auction for panzer or this game....It is astronomical

Thought I'd bump this old thread rather than start a new one, but just had to share this:

I was trying to snag this on the cheap, but I wasn't quite prepared for what happened next...

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3083571256

    :O :O :O

While it's the first one I've seen on eBay UK in a while, it's only uncommon in mainland Europe. For example, there's one here with a BIN of €10.
(I was tempted to email the second link to the buyer, but better wait until after the first transaction is complete )

    *shakes head in disbelief*

That is nuts!!! It seems that every day there is an utterly insane price on something like this, that is not even especially rare.

Mind you, I had better not complain too much. I have a few uncommon Mega CD games to offload ... and at this rate, I stand to make a fortune!

Do genesis carts and Mega Drive carts interchange?? Because if they do, I could hook you up for a fraction of that price for the genesis version.

Some games (generally earlier ones) are universal, while other aren't. It's luck of the draw really. And thanks for the offer, but I only really want a PAL one, and it's regularly available on eBay Germany/France/Holland for a much more reasonable price aswell.

    That's totally nuts.

I've been trying to get the game Knuckles Chaotix, but it always goes for stupid prices.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...&category=3644

This one for example is currently £24 at time of this post; I bet it will hit £60+ just before it ends. It has four days left but already the retards have engaged with their stupid bids. x_x

I?ve given up trying to get this game on eBay, I?ll just have to look around and hope I find it in a shop or other online auction/shop.

Yeah, it's another one thats not that rare, but always gets daft prices due to demand, and the fact that a lot of people now think it is very rare and worth the £50+ that a complete copy will almost always go for. There's a few 32X games that are much harder to find.

I've noticed some real insanity with PC-Engine games being auctioned from the UK, with UK bidders bidding on them. You'll see the same game get auctioned from say Japan, or the US, and it just goes for so much less. I mean that's not always the case, but it definitely seems more often than not.

Is there a large duty tax over by you guys, or something like that?

    Default yeah

I finally bit the bullet and bought Chaotix a week or two ago, for £41. It's been about that much on ebay for as long as I can remember. But i have seen some crazy prices for it recently - I saw one go for £72 not long ago.

To be honest, the best way to get it is probably to buy a bulk lot with a 32X and a bunch of games with KC included. I've seen two such lots in the last coupla months that I could've sold off the extras from and effectively had Chaotix for £10 - £20 max.

You just gotta bide your time on that one ...

Wtf?? THe high bidder on that PAL Chaotix auction is the same guy who won a Chaotix for £72 a month or so ago. Is he just taking the piss, or what?

There's at least one more that he's won aswell:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=3082224392

He hasn't received feedback for any of them yet, either.

lol, I didn't notice that, what a retard.

Actually, he did on one of them.

    http://cgi2.ebay.co.uk/aw-cgi/eBayIS...userid=xmod_uk

If he is buying them, then either he's won the lottery and spending it on wonderful things or he's completly (and utterly) nuts. If he's going to do this every time, there's no hope in getting it!

Another crazy one I spotted today:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...&category=3644

It's worth about £3-4 and I've never seen it go above £10 before. And it's not even finished yet! n00bs gone wild again...

He he.. I noticed that you've got a Wily Wars up on ebay.com at the moment - that should net a fair amount . Though to be honest, with this current trend, it may have been better to stick on ebay.co.uk - I've seen a couple on the European & Australian sites recently, but I can't remember one on eBay UK for a least a few months...
