Default Safe voltage for the Super Famicom?

I got this Super Famicom from the forum member DARK ANDY recently, and he said it had a minor graphical problem. When I got it today, it had an NES AC adapter with it. Is this safe to use, and could it be the cause of the prescribed problem?

(BTW, I checked vidgame.net already and it didn't help much... if the webmaster is reading this, you should know that the picture you have for a SFC exercise bike actually has a Famicom in the picture.)
    Egbert, I miss you...

Check if the NES AC has 9V, that's the recommended voltage for a SNES, though it can handle a few more or less thanks to some internal voltage regulator.

My dad says that it's safe to use an AC that is 10% more or less than what's marked... I see 8V on the SFC, and 9V>10%(8V). Hey, christianscott, what's the model number of the adapter you're using?

NEVER EVER USE THE NES PSU ON SUPER FAMICOM!!

Super Famicom uses DC not AC.

    US SNES - DC
    PAL SNES - AC
    Super Famicom - DC

    US NES - AC
    PAL NES - AC
    Famicom - DC
