    Hi Folks,
Everyone knows you can do this with emulators, but let's list the devices that let you do this on the real hardware!

    NES:
    Game Action Replay
    Game Master (famicom)

    SNES:
    Game Saver

    Genesis:
    ?

    Gameboy:
    ?

    Other systems?

Evrybody knows about gamesharks and game genies, etc. but let's talk about these!

u wanting to list them for the modern systems too?

I'm not really sure about the gameboy but i would guess it has a small amount of memory built into the carts... dont think it has an actually piece of hardware to save on...

N64/DC/PSX/PS2/GC/Xbox all use just basic memory cards.. and action replay

to quote a man of great wisdom... "thats all i've got to say about that" -Gump

i didnt really help much, but figured it'd atleast give ur post a slightly longer life so somebody else may see it and post

Yeah, feel free to post moderns too.

I'm not sure you understood what I mean though, crashdummycow01. A save state device lets you save progress anywhere in any game. Lets say there's a jump you are having major trouble with, and it takes 10 minutes to get there and you die every time. Well a save state device would let you save right beofre the ledge and retry over and over again.

I guess they basically take a complete snapshot of what's in the systems's RAM at the time and reloads it. when you hit load. TOtally different than a memory card or a battery backed save or a password.

Thanks for the help though, man!!!
