Games that NEED to be made

I was just playing Ghostbusters on the SMS, and I came to the conclusion that someone NEEDS to make a next-gen Ghostbusters game. The name alone would give the game some recognition, and the premise of Ghost-busting would sell alot of copies. And for extra coolness, they could base the game on "The Real Ghostbusters" animatd series from the 80's

Whadda ya think, would you buy a next-gen Ghostbusters game if someone made it?

North and South....ive been hoping for a sequal since the first one....man i love the two player mode in this game.

Funny you should mention that game, I have my North and South disk lying out for my SX-64. I had planned on playing it tonight, then I realized my SID chip has taken a crap. Looks like I'll be doing some soldering and be playiing it tomorrow

If Konami ever makes Castlevania Chronicles II, it should feature Rondo of Blood. Keep the music, just update the visuals.

I'd love to see the following, but I'm not holding my breath for any releases soon:

Alex Kidd - An AK game just like Miracle World. Update his look and we're set! AK had some great platform action.

Chakan - "We're still working on it." was the last word (was I the last to contact them and ask? shame!). Love to see this get released somewhere, sometime... it's been so long... so very long.

Kid Chameleon - Come on, KC on GBa... Please, Sega, please...

Rampage: Nuked - One level Rampage game that lets you enjoy bashing buildings until the fun runs out (you know, after three buildings); then you get to control a plane and drop a nuke on Lizzie and the gang! I'm so cruel...

River City Ransom : Updated quest on GBA. Please!

Wonder Boy whatever - Another Action/RPG starring Wonder Boy would ROCK.

@Keith: I would probably be more interested than most next-gen games, but that doesn't mean I would actually buy it. If I did it would be used several months later.

Ugh, I'm STILL trying to forget that one. Passable gameplay, but no real ending. I'f I'm gonna blow $5 on a quarter muncher, I want to see a good ending!!!!

well, i can think of a few dozen games that NEED to be made (like a proper version of gerry anderson's UFO, not another x-com), but now that meecrosoft has bought rare, we NEED (lol):

battletoads- f*@k the double dragon characters- i'm talking about the original arcade game, pumped up for the x-box and with more levels added. or a NEW game, finally. boom. BOOM!!!!! i say!

r.c. pro am III- finally! but faster, better looking, and 1-4 players per console (linkable like halo!) and maybe xbox live compatible for 8 or 16 players at a time. "...oh what fun it is to ride..."

wizards & warriors- yeah, i hated it, but mostly because it's ugly, and the floaty jumping is terrible. now, they can do a game that looks like the cover art that suckered folks into buying the games in the first place, lol! without fabio, of course...=^P

I've read through this topic and I agree with some of ones mentioned...

Alex Kidd should be brought back by SEGA. They've been hanging on to Sonic for a while, but Alex Kidd was himself pretty popular among SEGA players. they brought back Phantasy Star right, so why not Alex?

Battletoads is long overdo. I don't have an XBox too so if they ever did make one I'd pray for a miracle that it would come to Gamecube, but that would be HIGHLy unlikely I guess.

As for some I've thought of...

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Nintendo should bring a new Earthbound game to the series! The game has been MIA for quite some time and I'm a little surprised, seeing as it seems to have somewhat of a cult following from the SNES days.

here goes no one kill me....A new 2D Mario game...just think of the 1st level in adventure mode in super smash bros melee...3D backgrounds and in depth graphics with the old school ,2d, side-scrolling movement...the graphics could be awsome and you could add more moves to the caracters...you know a real mario game, not a 3d platformer with mario in it....not to say I don't like platformers, but platformers are not mario....also while everyone's interested in remaking old games...why not make an updated original zelda, or metriod....you know spruce up the graphics, and through them on a compelation or something....that would rock.

I would like a new Kid Icarus game (who doesn't), GTA Online, an updated Zaxxon and Yars Revenge. I would also like to see some of the Tycoon games porsted.

This may be weird, but my friends laughed so hard at Jerry Glanville's PigSkin Footbrawl and Mutant League Football on Genesis. Just imagine what you could do with something like that on a next gen console, though. Does anyone ever remember the old board game/pen and paper game, Blood Bowl? I think this would be a great fantasy football game for those of us who don't necessarily dig football (or it's subsequent stranglehold on our culture)...

Or, BASEKETBALL: The Video Game...perfect for X-box Live...well, maybe not...
