Circa 1980, a Dig Dug sorta game. A flying saucer drops you off at the upper left of the screen. Using a little raygun, you blast a path underground, trying to pick up all the diamonds and get back to the saucer before it leaves. Guards patrol the paths. In the bottom half of the screen is a square chamber with diamonds and a tightrope. You have to grab the diamonds and jump up off the tightrope before it disintegrates. This was the tricky part, as you had to be very precise with your positioning, and you only got one chance. If you jumped up and missed the escape hole, the rope would disintegrate and you'd fall. I'm not sure, but I don't think there was any other way out of the chamber.
It wasn't a great game and didn't last long. if you complete a screen, you do it all again with a little less time. But I liked it and can't remember what it was called.
Does this spark anyone's memory?
Thanks,
