Default The biggest laugh of the day...

Note: This is from Retrogaming Roundtable '83

I have this friend who's rad, but tends to be weird... and we were talking about video games. He told me that since they have music on CDs now that there's a big possibility that someday all media will be on a plastic disc. He said this would include movies and... video games! I had to excuse myself and leave the room because I couldn't stop myself from laughing.

    How ridiculous does that sound?

I dunno... they've put games on floppy discs, and on LPs. I guess it could happen, but I can't imagine how expensive it'll be. Those high-tech discs come with a high-tech price.

What the heck is crack? Is that what you get when you roast cocaine over an open flame or something?

Adventurevision? Lame-o! What's frightening about the future is that someday you'll have to pay somebody else to take that system off your hands, because it won't be worth a dime!

Does this mean that Atari will be coming out with a CD ad-on module soon?

    Default DewU Points

    Hello,
I love video games! My mom won't buy me a XBox, and I don't have enough allowance saved up. I was wondering if anyone would be nice enough to send me their DewU points so I could save up and get a XBox. I love games and have all the syestems I can get my hands on. I have a PS2, Super Nintendo, Regular Nintendo, Sega CD and I am currently the higest bidder on a Genisis on the E.

But I keep getting outbid on all the XBoxes I try to bid on. If anybody would be willing to help that would be great. I have about 79 points and need 550.

Huh? Is there a missing link floating around out there somewhere that would logically go from April Fools retrojoke* to DewU point pleas? My brain just died trying to figure it out

*to my knowledge this is an original word that has never been used before, and while it doesn't seem to fit in any situation really, feel free to use it.

    What..WHAT...WHAT???

I got stunned for a minute before I realised that this was from the 83' rountable, thinking who in their right mind was being that loony.

If this link is floating around AND that is the case where DewU beggers think this is the place to post then im up for it. Lets keep this virus conatined here, to this thread. And treat it like its still '83.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

I don't understand. If it's not in a cart, how will you save your games?

    Default Totally Rad

I think that since it is not a cart you will have to have what they call a "Memory Card". This will allow you to save you games. I don't know how big these "Memory Card" will be but I just upgraded my Commador 64 to a whopping 8 Mb ro memory and that cost me over 100.00.

How much space does it take to save a game.

Sounds like your friend is part of an inner-group of bloated suits who think the "disc" will hold a short future, before it goes the way of vinyl.
