Has anyone tried to print this out?
After the first 3 pages only the pictures print
any advice?
You bet! Sounds like one of two things (or a combination of both):Originally Posted by T
1) You need to download and install the current Adobe (Acrobat) Reader (current version is 6.0).
2) Your printer is having memory overflow issues.
Once you install Reader 6.0, you should be good to go.

This is sweet. Is this going to be available monthly like this?
Bi-monthly is plan, I believe. Next issue in June. See page 47 of the issue for a preview of articles.

mine printed out pretty good... seems like just enough room for 3 ring binder punch out holes... my laser printer took a while with this puppy on 'best' quality though.

Thanks to everyone who have downloaded the new issue. We appreciate all the feedback we've been receiving as well.
We're still working out the kinks in this thing before we roll out the "hard launch" on Monday. We didn't put out any formal announcements out since we figured DP forums would be the first to locate it (we were right!). And we wanted you folks to have the first crack at it in case the site got overrun with downloaders.
Ok....now color me How did I drop the ball? If you'd all turn your magazines to page 14 there is a section called Homebrew Reviews. Wouldn't it be great to know who actually wrote those? Well, in my rush to get this thing out there I forgot to drop in the credit.
So please get out your markers and write in big bold letters: "BY TIM SNIDER"
Sorry Tim! I feel like a real heel on that one. I think this could work to your advantage in San Jose though since I now feel a need to buy several heaping glasses of beer at Gordon Biersch to help alleviate my guilt.
Thanks again everyone,

Beautiful Magazine... I will be ordering the CD with the back-issues!
Nice work.
I noticed Earl and Tim did some great stuff.
I always like PDF documents that use the bookmarks feature. It might be nice if that can be added in future editions. But, great work guys!
Very nice magazine. I really liked the way everything was laid out as well as the nice balance of classic/modern gaming content. There's some pretty impressive articles in there as well. Keep up the great work guys!
After printing the issue out I took it to kinkos to be spiral bound
It's now on the shelf with the 6 original issues
Every few months I will take them down and re-read them
It's a great time to be into retro gaming
I printed mine out on a good thick paper stock, three-hole-punched it and dropped it into a presentation cover thingie. And yep, it's sitting alongside the original six issues.
Glad everyone's enjoying it!
Hey, the magazine looks great! The articles were excellant. It really brought me back. = )
I also realized that I need to go buy Batman for super nes again...hehe
Cheers

Good sign of things to come.
Plus, the magazine is pretty good too
I just wanted to Thank CAV and the staff for putting together this Free Online Mag. It is great to see the Magazine back in business.
Great job to all involved
Hi again,
I just wanted to drop a line and give everyone a big thanks for taking the time to download and read our latest offering.
The reponse has been HUGE to say the least. Once the news hit Slashdot, and several others the hits to the site became enormous. One of the main reasons we didn't get "Slashdotted" is because Joe was kind enough to mirror the file over here at Digital Press. So we raise our beers high to him! Our third mirror was knocked out yesterday, and yet again Joe offered TWO MORE mirrors. So, again, thank you Joe!
We've also been getting some great e-mail with comments and suggestions for future issues. Keep 'em coming!! Write us at feedback@classicgamer.com and I promise we'll read them all.
Take care everyone and we'll keep you posted as to when the next issue will be available.
Best,
-Cav
