Default Atari 2600 Activision Cart Preservation

My problem is this. Some of my favorite classics are games by Activision for the Atari 2600. However, it disgusts me to even look at them now. After spending years of takeing extreme care of these carts, they are still showing signs of decay. What is happening, and I am sure most of you have seen this, is that the glue that is used to glue the label to the cart is slowly soaking through and eating away the natural color of the label. The labels start out by getting dark spots all over them. As time goes on, the entire label will be darkened destroying a "picture perfect" label. So, I am trying to find out how I can, if at all, prevent this from happening. Any help would be much appreciated!

I store my carts in plastic bins. I keep the bins in my basement where it stays around 75 degrees. I also run a dehumidifier.

Step 1: aquire a time machine

Step 2: go back in time and get Activision to use a different glue

If a time machine cannot be aquired, then there's really nothing that can be done.

If I'm not mistaken , this is known as "actiplaque," yes?

There's pretty much zilch you can do. I'm not positive, but I would imagine it is a result of some kind of oxidization.

    Anyone wanna fill us in?

I think I may know how to slow it down. Put your games in a zip-lock baggie and get as much air out as you can.
