    Default I was thinking...

After playing Culdcept, I was thinking that other board games might also benefit from the addition of fantasy themes and RPG play mechanics. After all, Culdcept isn't the first game to have done this... Archon predates it by over a decade.

What do you guys think? Could you imagine playing a game like, say, Stratego, enhanced with more complex gameplay and a much larger cast of characters?

I'd love to see it done more. I don't know if you can improve on Archon much though, to me that game is perfect. The only problem is that VG board games don't sell well in North America. Japan has tons though.

BTW, have you tried the Gaiamaster series? It was out on the DC and PSX, and it's much like a blend of what you are talking about (uses Monopoly elements). Dioramos also came out on the original Playstation, and isn't pefect, but worth looking into if you like the others (less Monopoly, more fighting).

If it's done right and it's fun, I'm all for it.
