Default How to fix a switch on a 2600?

My left diff switch is stuck in the A postion. Looking at it the middle set of connectors leading down to the board look a bit kroaded. other 2 sets look fine. Is there a replacent switch? anyone know a way to fix these things?

Yup. Solder out broken switch. Solder out good switch from broken donor Atari deck. Put good switch in needy deck.

Should be six solder joints per switch. I have a heavy sixer that needs two switches, and plan to do this soon. Just need a busted Atari deck to donate me some switches. Seems pretty straight forward, but haven't actually done it. It's GOT to be easier than replacing the CV power switch I did 2 weeks ago.

This very thing is why I keep a broken 6'er.

    I came across this site
    http://www.best-electronics-ca.com/2600_Tech_Tips.htm
at the bottom of the page they list the switch for $2.50
Has anyone delt with this company? Any thoughts.
It took me long enough to find this atari, I doubt I will ever find another one to rip apart for parts.

As a matter of fact, I just recieved my latest order from Best last week (replacement power switch for a 5200, along with misc. stuff - 5200 Dust Cover, Game-switchbox velcro, 4-port VCS-adapter retrofit kit - to bump the order up to a minimum dollar amount).

I've ordered from them a few times in the past as well. They are A-1 first-class all the way.
