Sega CD- orginally came Sewer Shark. Later ones came with Sonic CD as a pack-in if I remember correctly.

SNES- Super Mario World. Then Mario All-Stars, the sports packs (dunno the games there), the Killer Instinct pack-in and the DKC pack-in. Dunno the years or when these were relased though.

    Great topic!

The original NES: Gyromite and Duck Hunt.

Atari 2600: Asteroids for a while too, and some Jr. models came with the 32-in-1 cart.

Sega 32X: either Virtua Fighter or Star Wars Arcade (maybe other pack-ins too?) for a while near the end of its life. A sticker on the box proclaimed the game therein.

    GameBoy: Tetris

Dreamcast: Sega Classics Volume 1 OR NFL2k, NBA2K and WSB2K (and there was a second sports pack with the white console - did it have the 2K1 series of games?) OR Sonic 1, Sonic Shuffle and Sonic 2 demo. Outside of the US there were a ton of different pack-ins/console makeovers... Hello Kitty anyone?

X-Box: Jet Set Radio Future and Sega GT

    GameCube: Mario Sunshine
Selling collection, Atari through XBox. Send a PM with whatever games you're looking for.

Just a question. Does the Nintendo E-card reader count? Because if it does doesn't that come with a couple games?

Actually, the ORIGINAL Sega CD came with some other stuff... First, there was Hot Hits/Rock Paintings which had 2 CD's, Sol Feace, and another disc that had some Sega Classics, such as Columns, and there was also Sherlock Holmes, Consulting Detective, Vol. 1.

Sega CD - correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that Tomcat Alley was also a pack-in at some point, probably during the second model era.

Actually I think when my stepfather got his Sega CD (1st model) it came with Sewer Shark and the Sega Classics pack...I'll check after my interview.

I think I have a few to add here...

NFL Football 94 (with Joe Montana, I believe) was a special sports pack in with the Gen II at one point. I have the box somewhere around here - the Gen is displayed on astroturf on the front, heh.

Sonic Pocket Adventure came along with many Neo Geo Pocket Color packages.

For the Game Gear, Sonic 2 was a pack in, and I also believe there was a Columns pack in set, too.

The Lynx had this spiffy four game thing going on from what I remember (I was so close to buying one when it was out there.) It came with Pit Fighter, an airplane game, and two others (I'm hardly up in the Lynx, someone help here!)

The Saturn had a Daytona USA/Virtua Fighter 2/Virtua Cop 2 promotion going on, but I don't remember if that was actually packed in or not.

And I remember the PSX being packaged with Battle Arena Toshinden early on... or am I talking out of my backside again? ; )

Tomcat Alley was indeed a pack-in for the Sega CD. I think it replaced Sewer Shark.

That set of Virtua Fighter 2, Virtua Cop, and Dayton USA for the Saturn wasn't actually in the box, if I remember correctly. Stores gave them out separately when you picked up a system.

Let's see if there are any left.

NES: Super Mario Bros. 3/World Cup Soccer. (I 'm not sure about this one)

Sega Genesis 2: Streets of Rage 2

Sega Genesis 2: The Lion King

    Sega Genesis 2: Vectorman

    Sega Genesis 2: Sega 6-Pak

Sega CDX: Sega Classics CD (Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Columns, Shinobi, and Super Monaco GP), Ecco the Dolphin, and Sonic CD

    Sega Saturn: Virtua Fighter

And my favorite package of all . . .

TurboDuo: 3 in 1 CD (containing Gate of Thunder, Bonk's Adventure, Bonk's Revenge, and a hidden Bomberman), Ys Book I and II, and a "mystery" game, which was often Ninja Spirit.

Are we also discussing mail-in offers? Bonk's Revenge was sent to purchasers of the TurboGrafx-16, I think.

You sure are keeping me busy!

Just for clarification, I only intend to include games that were actually included in the box with the console, not bundled separately like the Saturn Virtua Fighter 2/Virtua Cop/Daytona USA combo. If I've accidentally done so, let me know! Thanks

I believe that the first version of the 2600 that came from Sears came packed with Air-Sea battle instead of Combat.

Do you want PAL pack-ins as well? As there are a load of different ones.

Sega Master System II came with Sonic the Hedgehog built-in in Europe and Brazil. Also in Brazil, some SMS II's, which I believe were called SMS III's for some reason, came with a Brazil only pack-in cart "20-Em-1", which is 20 "original" (more like early BASIC programming type) games in one cart.

Columns was also another Pack-in for the Gamegear.

@Keir: you missed the other two DC pack in bundles I listed above 8) (unless you left them off on purpose - in that case, the games were packed inside the DC console box, not free separately or anything like that).

Also missed the 2600 Asteroids pack-in and 32-in-1 pack in carts I mentioned... Not sure on the year of the Asteroids pack-in, but it came in the smaller, silver 2600 box with a triangular corner sticker proclaiming that Asteroids was inside.

@Kaine: The Coleco Gemini is an Atari 2600 clone made by Coleco.

@Charlesaway: I wonder if it was released with both, or if I just made a mistake? I'll change it since I can't confirm that DK was packed in.

@everyone else: Yes, I missed a bunch of updates the first time. I'll try to get them all in now.
