Default Best Joystick Ever (Neo Geo)

Finished up my little joystick project for the Neo Geo MVS, and here she is:

It started as an old Double Dragon panel converted into a Neo Geo panel and was found void of buttons. Some cleanup, new set of buttons, wiring, and a custom wooden box turned it into a badass MVS stick. It's attached to my MVS now; however, I also altered some wiring of my JAMMA harness in the process so that I can now easily disconnect it from the MVS and plug in any JAMMA board (more traditional supergun style.) The stick will work there, too. It was broken in with some Waku Waku 7 and Puyo Puyo Sun (Sega ST-V) action. Delicious!

    wow! That's really awesome man!

Is the MVS PCB completely JAMMA compatible? I always assumed it wasn't, because of the number of buttons. If that's the case, I might as well build a real supergun instead of a dedicated MVS supergun.

Yes it is. All you do is hook up that 4th pin on the JAMMA connector for button 4. You don't need an extra harness or anything like that.

I have some links HERE that may help you out.

I dig that controller too. Nice work. Kinda reminds me of mine...

Yeah, I wish I'd gone that route now. I almost made mine out of a Street Fighter panel, and after seeing how cool Ninja's looks, I wish I had.

The only problem is that would mean there's one less SF panel in the world. Heh. Looks neat though.

It would look alot less ugly if you painted it.
