    Default Lucky Day!

I love checking thrift stores, but I don't really do it regularly. If I drive by one, yeah, I'll usually drop in, but I don't go out of my way or have a route I regularly visit.

If I don't take the interstate I drive past two thrift stores on the way home. I was late leaving work yesterday and wasn't in a hurry to get home, so I decided to stop by (and I'm glad I did!)

I ended up finding a Nintendo Power Glove (loose, $2), an Atari 2600 (loose with no cords, $3), two 32x games (Bug! and Mortal Kombat 3) for $4 and $3, and a couple of PC games (Space Invaders and Island of Dr. Brain) for $1 each.

When I went to check out the employee informed me that it was half price day on all electronics, which meant instead of $14 it came out being $7 + tax. Go me!

When's the last time you found a good deal, only to have it get better?

Yes, I am sure I am wrong. They are Sega Saturn games.

    Nice deal. :)

As for good deals that ended up being even better... I found some really good complete games at a GameStop last summer for good prices, and when I took them to the cashier, he told me they were having a "buy two, get one free" sale. :) Not an unusual thing, but it was really cool because I didn't even know they were having the sale then.

I was at a pawn shop a couple weeks ago and bought
Super Empire Strikes Back and NBA Jam T.E. for SNES. Super Empire Strikes Back was marked $3.95 and NBA Jam T.E. was marked .99. When I bought them, the clerk charged me $1.98 total. Instead of paying $3.95 for Super Empire Strikes Back, I paid .99.

That much in one visit? Maybe you should check there more often!

I think one of my favorite finds is when I stopped by a savers that I had been to a few times. I almost just passed it and went home thinking I would find nothing but I walked in and on the shelf they were selling Air Zonk, Shockman, Keith Courage & Alpha Zones (2), Legendary Axe, Blazing Lazers and Dragon's Spirit for the tg16 for 2.99 and they were half off tags. WOOHOO!
