    Default Metal Slug Games

    Does anyone know how many Metal Slug games have been released so far?

    1, 2, X, 3, 4, and 5 for coin ops.

    There's some titles for handhelds as well.

    coin ops = arcade

    in addition to the arcade & NG releases
    MS1 = JP Saturn
    MSX = US PSX
    MS3 = US XB, JP PS2
    MS4
    MS5 = both are getting a US XB release (?)
    i'm sure i'm missing some

    then there's MS Advanced for the GBA & 2 MS games for the NGPC

    That's a tall order

    Go to GameFAQ's and type 'Metal Slug' into the search field. All Slug games and their consoles will be listed.

    Yes.

    Metal Slug 2 wasn't released on anything but the Neo Geo (home and arcade).

    Metal Slug 2 is almost the same as Metal Slug X. X is just a remake where they changed a few bosses, items, colors and enemy placement in some cases. You wouldn't be able to tell much of a difference just being a casual player...

    The reason they did all this was just because part 2 had so much slowdown and they had come up with a solution for it.... Yeah X has less slowdown, though I don't really think it's that big a deal except for at the end of the game...

    Slug 4 and 5 are going to be released on PS2 and Xbox, but not for some months.

    Didn't slug 1 come out on jap PS1 too? I'm pretty sure that it did.

    It's hardly collectible, but there's also Metal Slug for mobile phones.
