    Default Flea Market Insanity.

Some folks think they have a gold mine. when it comes to certain things.

In a bin among some other loose toys. I find 3 tiger, and 1 other (Forgot brand name..) LCD Handheld games. They were Street Fighter 2, Power Rangers, Baseball and WWF Hulk Hogan. Now I figure "Cool!" . they still had thier battery backs.. and he had set of test batteries abound. so I was able to see4 they all worked. Now. mind you. I said they were in a bin. a Bin full of 1.00 toys. So...I take the 4 handhelds, and give hium my 4 dollars. and he's like "Your short." and I'm like "Well. they're 1 dollar a piece right?". Get this./ the guy wanted 6 freaking bucks a piece for EACH one (Not just all 4) . and said he'd be willing to take 5. Now. the price is steep for a older handheld that had shown wear on it. but..it's the fact that he had them buried in this 1.00 Bin (Buried. yes. it's not like someone actually put them there by accident.) and more or less shafted out on that.

I think that if yer gonna place a 1 price for all tag on such a bin... you should at least take a quick check through it and not just asume it's all junk :/.

I hope you did not pay what he was asking for those games. I collect handhelds myself and I doubt those games are worth more than $2 a piece loose. The point is you can probably go on ebay and get them cheaper than what that guy wants and it would be a lot more convenient than sifting through a flea market junk bin. I have pretty much given up on flea markets for handheld games because it's like you have experienced. When they have something worthwhile it's usually priced higher than what I would pay on ebay.

That's so annoying, when something is clearly marked one price and then they try and switch it up on you.

In another thread I mentioned that I passed on a couple of Sega Genesis units the other day. One was unmarked, and the other was marked .99. When I went up to the front counter to ring out, I was told that it was supposed to be 9.99, and that someone had erased the first "9". And, she wouldn't sell the other one, because "SOME people" (she said while looking at me) try to erase or alter the prices.

About that time I decided I already had enough loose Sega Gennies at the house and didn't need these two.
