Default New Nintendo Gamecube controller (!) (?)

June 09, 2004 - Nintendo's latest investors' conference in Japan was full to the brim with vague references about network play, the new Revolution console and, surprisingly, Mario Party 6.

We know, we know -- how can a game that has a "6" in its title be on the receiving end of any sort of vague reference? The reference is to the means of control for the game. In referring to the game, Nintendo hinted (vaguely) at a new controller that would allow even unskilled players to play.
"In the past, there have been people who have felt controllers are hard to deal with and did not play games, but this (game) will seek to appeal to those people," said Nintendo president Satoru Iwata.

And that's it. No further details were given.

The company has been promising a new peripheral of some sort for GameCube, so perhaps this is it. Or perhaps Nintendo president Satoru Iwata and his assembled crew of suits were just referring to the standard GameCube controller, only you use it in new ways, like holding it upside down as you play or using your big toe to press the A button (finally!). We're not sure.

I am really wondering what this controller will look like. If there looking for something mroe basic why dont they do the GBA to GC hookup liek Zelda???

Rumors are that it might be a camera system. I'm thinking it might be some kind of touchscreen like the DS will have.

Where the hell are that guys socks Omnedon?

Anyhow, remember the glove Nintendo released for One of the Mario Party games? I lost a ton of palm skin to that wind up game.
