Two of my favorite things... could be related, thats awesome. I have a recording that is supposedly Trent playing the zelda theme live, which kicks ass. If I remember correctly, Reznor did the music for the quake games and is working on the music for Doom 3.

Is it just me, or was the rhino sub boss in SMB a "renzor" and not "reznor"

That's a funny site. I never knew the Trent-mario connection. I had heard that NIne Inch Nails is Trent Reznor and that the other members are only hired musicians.

accually reznor did the first 2 quake games, and he passed on doing doom 3 because he is writing new NIN material BUT his second hand man in NIN IS writing the music for doom 3, he also did the music for American McGee's Alice.
