    Default BEST GBA FLASH CARTS

    Hey-
I was wondering if anyone can steer me in the right direction. I want to put all of my GBA titles on 1 cart as well as run some emulators on my GBA. What would be the best cart for the job? What kind of equipment would i need to do it all? Please help! Please! Happy 4th to everyone

Well there's NO WAY you're going to get all your GBA titles on one flash cart.

Unless you only have a couple that is.

A 256m cart will hold 4-5 GBA games and the new 1 gig cart will hold 16-20.

The 256 cart will cost $100 and the 1 gig about $230 .

I use the EZFlash Advance 256 and highly reccomend it , but the Flash2Advance is good also.

i have a 256 megabit flash2advance, and i have to admit that the flashing software SUCKS. Its a pain to configure the damn thing, and it works in 1 out of ever 3 Pc`s i install it on. Steer away from flash2advance cards

Someone on this board recommended the EZ Flash Advance 256mb to me several months ago, and I've been loving it ever since. You can read that thread HERE. Unfortunately, the store that was mentioned, mwelectronics.com, is no longer in business.

Yeah I would much prefer that to the EZ Flash IV where the instructions are printed in such broken English that I can't understand what it means. I still am not 100% sure how the save function works or whether I am even doing it right. I might just stick to emulating the GBA on my PSP Go at this rate.

All he's doing is posting the same bullshit in multiple very old threads to try and peddle some pretty overpriced ezflash devices on his stupid website. $75 for an ezflash is a joke dude, you can get them for less even if ebay blocks their sales.

You may want to edit the quote in your post to remove his links as well.

I banned him yesterday. However when you go and quote his post, I now have to go in and edit his crap out, because otherwise it's still there.... WAH WAH.

isn't Krikkz developing a GBA everdrive? He already has the GB Everdrive, I thought I saw somewhere hints of a GBA version.

Yes it is in development, but I don't think it's done.

GBA development was announced in Oct.

Back when he was working on the GB one, it was available in his shop only 4 months after he announced development. I'd hold off if I were you.

At this point in time, the few choices available to Game Boy Advance fans wanting to load ROM files from SD card leave a lot to be desired. Some of these are limited to 2gb storage space, while other require games to be patched in an unusual fashion before they work. Needless to say a more modern alternative up to the usual standard of the Everdrive range is without a doubt long overdue.
Why do people have such a burning desire to carry around more than 2 GB of GBA games on a single cart..?

Why would anyone want to swap out games for, if they don't have to?

While I have no desire to clutter up a multicart with garbage and variations (I always remove stuff that I'm confident I have zero interest in, like Square RPG's and fighting games), I doubt 2 gigs would leave me much room for other games, NES roms, and so on past just fitting my several dozen cartridges onboard it.

And even more appealing is the ready availability, ease of use, and bug-free nature of Everdrives.

It's such a trifling convenience that it hardly seems worth paying two or three times the price. But then, I never really understood why people want to carry around 50 GB of MP3s everywhere either.

I'll admit if they come up with some alternative to the whole PSRAM vs NOR RAM dichotomy, that might be kinda convenient.

I've read that the newest EZ Flash IV's can use a microSD now instead of a MiniSD, AND those are SDHC micro's. So a good improvement.

Yes they do that's the last one I had. Basically if I remember right it has NOR on the card itself, it will hold a few games and I think 4 save files. Beyond that then you get into the menu system where you can pop and swap stuff between the SD card, or just load whatever you want into a few GBs of storage on the card and just read/write directly off it which does take a little time but works. The one I had I think I had a 2GB card with it and it worked fine.

I wasn't aware they were still making new ones. They're not still called EZ Flash IV, are they?

I looked at the ez-flash page, they still sell the things.

I did find this place, not on their list, but they have them for $50.

    $38 here

This place for half that price which seems fishy?

I found all this off a reddit thread about the thing, how to use it, and where to find it that is from 5-7mo old.
