Default Power Supply for Sega CD

Anyone know the ratings for a Sega CD (first generation) power supply? Apparently the guy gipped me and gave me a Genesis power supply vs the actual Sega CD power supply.

As he said, its the same as the Genesis 1 power cable, but since ya asked:

    Input: 120v AC 60hz 18 W
    Output: 9v DC 1.2A

Is it the same for the Sega CD 2 system? I have a bunch of systems without power supplies and don't want to fry them.

CD2 uses the genny one PS. A genny 2 ps won't fit anyway.

So the Genny 1 Power Supply works for both the CD1 Front Loader & the CD2 Top Loader?
I can just buy a Genny 1 power supply and mash it into a CD1, no problems?

    Yes,

The power supplies for the SegaCD I, SegaCD II, Genesis I, and Master System I are all the same and cross-compatable.

Please, just trust me on this, I know this!!! I've tried and tested this!!! It works!!!

    Default Sega CD power

To my knowledge, both Versions of the Sega CD take the same Power Adapter.

    It is
Model 1602 (It is the large Sega adapter)

    If that helps.

I find power cords to all types of systems at flea markets and garage sales for less than a buck each. look around.

Yes, that is what I have already said. Both Sega CD models use the same type of power supply, along with the Genny 1, and Sega Master System. This PS also works with some other stuff, like the NES for example, but I have not personaly tested the cross compatability of the power adaptors to those systems and Sega systems, except for the NES as I stated eariler.

    If THAT helps.

BTW SeiruKoji, no one has posted here for about a month and the problem was solved and all the other common stuff to tell the usual end of a thread had happened, so why did you post here and bring this back up to the top of the list again? I'm just curious to know why you would do this.
