how many songs have you unlocked ,ive unlocked quite a few and last night i beat like 30 songs and i got nothing for it .anyone have a list of how to unlock what?

I haven't picked this one up yet, due to my friggin' soft pad crapping out on me....but you can pretty much unlock every song just by playing the game. The unlocks just get fewer and further in between.

How's it play? I've read GI's review of it and they give it a 7...

If you love DDR, you have to get this game. That's all there is to it. The guys at GI obviously don't (evident by comments in the review such as "How many times do you have to impress people at the mall arcade?")

They also complained about lack of innovation (also in the reviews of THPS4), yet they gave Grand Theft Auto Vice City a perfect 10. *sigh* still catering to the average "gamer" I see.

It's a great game, but...

I'd only buy it if I didn't have a max or max2 machine near me that was reasonably prices (50-75 c). The only time I ever play at home anymore is on the emulators just to get the beat of some more difficult songs down. It's much more fun in front of a crowd, and the pads at the arcade simply can't be had at home for under 500. I've played on the 100 Redoctane pad, and even that feels wierd to me.

If you don't have a good arcade nearby, though, this is as good at it gets for dance games.

Ah, Kevincure has a good point. If you have a MAX2 machine near you, you already have most of the songs. I finally dug up a songlist, by the way, which I am posting now:

If you asked a member of DDRfreak.com what their favorite mix was, they'd either say DDRMAX2 or 4th Mix Plus. I'm going to have to tell them all that they are traitors.....
