Maybe it's just due to my location, DP, but the major errors I'm still seeing over here are:

The main site (digitpress.com) does'nt work. You need to use digitpress.com/index2.htm to get in.

Most of the stuff on the front page is broken.

The link for the forums on the bar to the left is broken.

Can only get into the forums by clicking on the 'popular topics' on the front page.

Forums seem to randomly crash now and then and I need to go back to the front page to re-enter.

Can't access the forums without that bar to the left!

Good work so far, though. Nice and fast.

    I've explained this already.

Maybe it's better if I take the whole site down rather than have everyone going through this mass confusion. I just thought it would be preferable to have access to the forums while the site is under construction...

If you do that, I will spend the next six hours driving to your house, and upon arrival, will promptly kick you in the shins.

There's always something that goes a little bit nutty in any server migration, but the fact that the heart and soul of the forums - i.e. the user database and the messages themselves - made the transition with only a handful of minor cosmetic hiccups ain't bad. The avatars and ranks are just gravy.

If you HAVE explained it, then please forgive me, but I've gone through all the posts and messages here and can't find anything really solid. I figure some of the errors are due to my location, but others just seem to be errors that I was'nt sure that you were aware off. Forgive me.

And yeah, I'll second POG's post.

Alright folks, the site is 99.9% working right now.

As of NOW, you can tell me if you spot anything weird. Images, forum functionality, and linkages have all been restored.

    Enjoy the new home!

I noticed that "index.php" is not automatically loaded. In other words, I used to have "http://www.digitpress.com/forum" linked so I could hop right to the forum. The link has changed to "http://www.digitpress.com/forum/index.php".

I can live with it, no big deal, but just thought I'd let you know. Other than that, everything looks really good and really fast!!!

Yes I am seeing that too -- it's at the top of every page, above the DP logo.

Know all about it. It's due to a change I made in the SubRed template (there's still an issue with the permissions in the forum folders). You can use one of the other templates if it's too annoying or just hang in there, we'll get it fixed.

    Hoooooooo Doggggiiiieeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The site is now BLAZIN!!

Joe, things are hummin' along beautifully now. You and Larry most definitely deserve a long weekend - you two should go crack open a couple of cold ones and take the rest of the week off.

    Very, very cool.

I have noticed one thing that's off, but it's not on the forums. I've been reading through some of the reviews, and it looks like some punctuation isn't being recognized for some reason; I didn't notice this before, but maybe I hadn't read that review before, I dunno. Anyway, it appears apostrophes and dashes are being replaced with question mark wingding thingies. Maybe it has nothing to do with the move.

Joe - I wanted to avoid bugging you with yet another annoying little quibble, but I think I found something that ties into what POG just wrote about -

My sig used to have the registered trademark symbol just after the word 'Windows'. After the upgrade, that had turned into a question mark inside a diamond. I tried to fix it by inserting the ascii code for a registered trademark, but no dice there.

So, if this helps you figure out POG's quirk, and/or gets my sig fixed, that would be excellent.
