Default Aladdin Deck Enhancer. Rare or Common?

You probably all know what I am talking about. The Aladdin Deck Enhancer for the NES which never really made its full release.

I remember at one time these things were soooo rare it wasn't even funny.
Now I am seeing them pop up all over?

So are these things rare after all or incredibly common?

Sorry if there was a previous post on this topic I couldn't find it

Well I don't know about everybody else but they're still pretty damn hard to come by where I live.

Until recently (and perhaps it's still happening), there was a web site selling some NOS Aladdin units, for fairly reasonable prices too. I wanna say it was Video Game Connections, but don't hold me to that. (I just checked their site and they have no Aladdins, yes they have no Aladdins, today).

So for a while at least, you could get them pretty easily if you had the money. Maybe the ones you're seeing now are attributable to this?

My understanding is that Aladdins aren't really all that exciting, at least from a playing perpective. I've never seen one in action, though.

where do you see them popping up all over? If it's on ebay, whatever, but if it's in the wild, pick one up because they are not common.

I found one it the wild when I was in like 7th grade and I was at my church garage sale and she gave it to me for free. It was the weirdest thing to me at the time, later on my parents banned games so I gave it to my best friend at the time and he got it stolen from. I haven't found one since.

Yep, VGC was selling them for a while.

I've never seen one outside of VGC, though.

I believe you have to rub the contacts a whole lot and hope it'll make the cartridge work. It's even better than a Game Genie!
