    Default "......"

So today, my dad was the only one working at EB, and this woman tried to trade in a complete in box Genesis. He could only give her a buck, though, and it was too busy for him to try and make her an offer, not to mention against store policy. I came in about, oh, ten minutes after she left. Not only that, but she isn't a regular customer, so there's slim to none chance of her coming back.

    x_x

Edit: And for clarification, she didn't trade it in. So it's also not something I could turn around and snag for twenty bucks or something.

I don't believed I've seen a boxed Genesis (though, thanks to Dojosky, I have a brand-new Mega Drive, model 1), but is it the box you're after? There's nothing wrong with it, of course. I'd say that your best chance of getting one is on eBay, and really their prices aren't too bad. It sucks that you couldn't get a good price on that woman's Genesis, but we can't make grabs all the time.

Maybe it'll show up at your local thrift...good luck, anyhow!

Nah, I'm not overly worried about the box. It was just one of those things that's like "Wait, what happened?"

And it seemed like she'd be willing to part with it for like five bucks, too, according to him.

And yeah, EB have some weird policies. I've heard some rumors that either the district or regional manager is also an ass.

Yes, but who said "..." first? Was it the Duke or Ryu Hayabusa from Nija Gaiden? Hmmmm...

If you're not just going by video games, undoubtedly Duke Togo. Takao Saitoh began the manga in 1968, and his cool "...." response has been a staple since the early days.

    "......"

Could you use a more descriptive subject next time? "....." just does NOT convey the intent of the article.
    Suggestion:
Almost Bought A Genesis at EB today!

A kid i knew had a complete boxed genesis model 1 he sold to the local pawn shop. The guy there was only selling it for 10 bucks but i didn't want it at the time. Should have pick it up when i had the chance.

My best friend also has a mint (talking maybe used twice) complete intelavision right smack dab in the middle of his freaking room. I have try many a times to buy it off of him but he's just like naaaaaaa it's "worth like 500 dollers". x_x ....

But "....." conveys my emotion perfectly. It also entices you to read the topic, rather than seeing just "Oh, some guy whining. *skips*". This way forces you into the sandy grip of my aardvark of a topic.

    -or-

wastes the readers' time with a topic he/she does not want to read. Just think: If *everyone* used "....." for a subject, everyone would waste a lot of time clicking 100+ topics just to see what's inside.

Ok man enough. Yea it was a bad title, stop pointing it out.

Yea that sucks. Must be cool to have a dad who works there though. So has anyone gotten fired for making an offer or is your dad just scared of the "rumors"? I know I made an offer to a guy right infront of an employee at GameStop and hes like "I'll let go this time but next time at least wait untill you go into the parking lot". They were pretty cool about it.

What are they going to do? Arrest you???? Sorry No. All they can do is escort you out the door. BFD. If I saw someone comei in with a Boxed Genesis, I wouldn't hesitate to offer to buy it. EB would rip them off. I wouldn't.

Well if he is working there they can fire him. Which I believe is store policy. So that kinda sucks, whats worth more a boxed genises for your son which you can get kinda cheap on ebay or your job.

You're not allowed to make personal transactions within the shop because it is a conflict of interests. I used to work in an EB shop (Game over here) and I got an ooficial written warning because I offered a guy £10 for a mint Shenmue 2 after the shop only offered him £2 trade-in. Basically the shop wants the stuff at their price end of... "You're not here to use the shop to wheel and deal, you're here to work for Game..." Surprisingly I don't work for the gits anymore!
