See auction "technical Details" for what's been done to this IntelliVision. Works perfectly now, and looks great. Every button, and every switch, fully working.

    Default Well...

I do have to say, you did one helluva detail job on the system Looks great. I recently did this with a Colecovision system. NIce to see a fellow videogame "restorationist" I however can't sell what I work on.

Once I've restored one of my own successfully, I feel fine selling dupes. I like to buy peoples entire collections out of their attics and stuff. I Fix 'em up, and sell the dupes.

Everyone wins. A restored systems gets in the hands of a gamer. My collection increases. (all the rares I have have been acquired this way) I make enough money to keep it going.

I've put 5 restored IntelliVisions back into the world so far. It makes me feel good. Thanks for the compliment. I'm refurbishing a ColecoVision for a local guy here right now. I just came up with an awesome switch replacement solution. NO stress on the switch contacts anymore!

I know some here see profiting like this on Ebay as somehow "bad". They can tell that to the people who now have perfectly working classic systems, who are now lurking members of this very community. Facilitating our hobby is a good thing. period.

I think that there's a difference between this and what I see a lot of on eBay. (i.e. $100 E.T. carts and other stupidity)

Many of the more interesting items in my collection have come from eBay, some from members of this board, in fact. (i.e. Sylentwulf)

If you perfect a switch replacement solution or have any other hacks/fixes you should definitely document them and either write up a restoation FAQ or add your findings to the official Colecovision FAQ. That would be cool for others out there to restore their own current systems. I actually got alot from the Colecovision FAQ, and from the forums. I have found some ways of repairing items as well. It would be nice to colaberate a restoration FAQ with other Colecovision collectors.

I guess I should type some of this stuff out, and maybe submit it to the CV FAQ. Couldn't hurt, as the switch problem seems to be afflicting every CV I get my hands on lately.

Last day for the IntelliVision today. Good luck to those of you that are interested.

Along with the Coleco info, it'd be great to see some Intv info around... I've got a few flakey ones here, it'd be great to know if there's anything I can do with them... For instance, one of them had the cover off while I was working with that damn power switch.... and a safety pin fell in, touched SOMETHING, and the durn thing never turned on again. I mean, I know it was stupid on my part... but... but.. *sniff*, I like my Intellivision II's... I like them a lot.
