True, with CastleVania in the line up, you already know which one will be sold out during the first week

I thought some or all of those are suppose to be FDS games but I could be wrong.

I was just about to post this...oh well, I was beat to it. I kinda wonder why the selection's so small this time around? I'm buying Zelda 2 and Castlevania for sure.

What a disappointment. :/ Just what we need - games we've already all whored and already saw a million ports and/or sequels of. Can't Nintendo give us at least ONE game that never saw a US release before? Or at least a somewhat obscure game like Kid Icarus?

Oh well, my boyfriend is excited about Castlevania and Zelda 2 at least, but he might just get the Japanese versions anyway.

I think there were like 10 but only maybe half will get released over here I'm guessing.

As for Zelda 2 assuming it's the FDS one it might be worth it as it's suppose to have a few differences from the cart version.

I'm really not surprised by Nintendo's choices. There just going to take the most popular NES games and port thiose and msot of those we played back in the NES days. I don't think we'll ever see obscure or non US releases. I'd like to see Goemon 2, or Getsufuu Maden myself but I know it won't be happening.

I will probably buy Castlevania and I'll think about Zelda II. Hell, I've already got the original Zelda II for the NES and the Gamecube collectors version and I've played them both a TON, as well as beaten them, so it seems kinda pointless to buy the exact same game on another platform when I've already got it on two. I've also got the original Castlevania, but I haven't beaten it yet and it would probably be fun on the go.
Be excellent to one another. Party on dudes!

I'm glad Metroid is on there. Sure, you can unlock it on Zero Mission by beating the game, but it just wouldn't have been right if it wasn't in the NES classics series.

If only they would port over some of the Japanese games, like Mappy. I want an American Mappy, dammit! You just can't get enough Mappy...

...though for now I might settle of Castlevania.

Nintendo seems to have discovered that there is a hard core audience with the Metroid series just as there is with Zelda, and are unrepetently milking it for all they're worth.

Once more, not impressed with the NES re-release lineup.

ARRGGH! WTF, man! I'm so sick of Nintendo not giving Kid Icarus the attention it deserves. There's absolutley no reason it shouldn't have had as many sequels and re-releases as Metroid and SMB. I mean, Japan got the Kid Icarus re-release! Sure, it was a disk system game over there, but so what? I don't think the original metroid and Kid Icarus were even popular over there....yet Kid Icarus sold millions over here....I just don't get it.

They should have at least tested the waters for people's response to a Kid Icarus release...at least they could have used the opportunity to see if future Kid Icarus projects were a good idea. It's not like they don't hear requests for a new version all the time.

Damn, I was hoping for Kid Icarus. I'll be sure to grab Castlevania, though.
3,582 games and counting! Pics of tons of stuff!

If Nintendo released Mr. Gimmick for GBA, I'd buy two copies incase one breaks.

Kid Icarus (aka Palutena no Kagami) is in the Japanese series 3 for those of you that need your fix of Pit.

This was suprising...2 games from Japan's Series 2 and 2 from Series 3. Dr. Mario WHEEEEEE
