    Default Weekend finds 14th-15th

Suprisingly, I didn't see a topic for this yet:

    Contra boxed - NES $2
    Airwolf boxed - NES $2
    Millipede boxed - NES - $2
    Tetris boxed - NES $2
NES controller, AC and a couple boxes - $2

    TRU 50% sale:
    Demi Kids Light: $15
    CIMA: $15
    Denki Blocks: $5
    Mojo: $5
DC 3rd Party memory card: $1.25

Passed on a boxed minty Action Set for $25. I have no desire for another NES (already have 6 or 7), especially for that much.

Not really console gaming related but I picked up a complete working 486 computer with monitor and a 1 gig zip drive for only $15.00

Also snagged a Genesis 1 with the A/V cord and 8 games for $20.00

Now to go dig out all my old pc games that can't run on my Athlon.
We saved some guy's life. Killed some vicious murdering lichs and blew up something big. I'd call that a pretty good night.

The tetris attack one is fairly hard to find maybe an R5 or so. I love collecting those demo carts, so if you want to get rid of it, PM me, we can work something out.

Only thing so far was Slap shot for sms (complete) on ebay for $20. Hopefully the flea will be good tomorrow.

I was So picky today at the Flea Market..They had some much crap there to consider or that I don't need.

(Sometime I Just get tired of seeing the piles of loose or boxed NES and Genesis games..)

Vendors are either good with prices or incredibly ridiculous.

One of the first things I came upon was the Xbox Halo game from a vendor who I knew..(The only New System game he had on the table)
He wanted $15.00 for it and I offered $10.00 he said NO .....What do I Need with another Halo Game...I don't need it but I like linking .
I have the two Xboxes hooked up and I always have to make sure one of my buddies doesn't forget to bring his copy over when we are going to play linked up.(not any more)
It's complete and the first thing I did when I walked in the door was test it out..(you just never know)

I went back before I left and bought all games The 7 Genesis games with the Star Wars(white) handheld and the Halo and he charged me $26.00...I still basically got it for $10.00 ..He wanted 2-3 dollars each for the Genesis games alone.

Bare N64 unit for $1.00 (a vendor who I know)
Star Wars E1 handheld $1.00(passed up some many others)

Double Switch Sega CD Disc and half box $1.50
Atari 2600 Blue Print cart $1.50..

SNES carts..$1.00 Each (I just picked out carts I don't have or that looked different)Passed up a bunch/too many to look through.
    Nickelodeon...Aaah!!! Real Monsters
    Super Soccer
    Speedy Gonzales Los Gatos Banditos
    Battletoads/Double Dragon

I pulled out the Sega Saturn Burning Rangers from a big box of Saturn games ..$3.00 each.
I had all the other ones so I only bought one.(is it rare?)

The best thing was the Game Boy bag I bought..I have this bag already but I was curious to ask how much the "EBay Price" vendor wanted for it.
    I figured she'd say 5-10 dollars..
She gave it to me for $1.00...
When I got home I felt a bulge in the back of the bag and it had that Pokemon Pinball game and the game GB Game Shark Pro in it....(Pretty Sweet)

I went to see a guy who gets me the hard to find items and I sort of felt bad because he tried to sell me an old scratched up Game Boy (white) with a DK cart for $20.00 then $15.00...I don't need anymore of them..

From Thrift Town, some Sega Saturn goodness. All boxed, manuals, and only $2.99 each:

    Bug!
    Cyber Speedway
    Pro-Pinball

Odd. Last week I found a Saturn there which I off-loaded on Ebay. There were no games but this week the games show up on the sales floor There also seems to be a new kid working there who has some genuine awareness of what's worth what.

So are you a board member, Mr. Mysterious Albuquerque Thrift Town guy? PM me if you are, and don't you dare go hoarding all the good stuff .

Easily your best find of the lot. Game routinely fetches 50 bucks on ebay. It's pretty scarce, one of the last games made by Sega on the Saturn (along with Shining Force III, House of the Dead, and Panzer Dragoon Saga).

Getting that for 3.00 bucks is worth bragging about!

Well, after waiting all summer for it, today was finally the day of the big city-wide garage sale near here. ^_^ It was a long day of searching, and while I didn't find anything that is especially "OMG brag-worthy!" or anything I was particularly looking for or interested in, I still think I did quite well. :) I got:

    For $5:

"Mike's P.S. Games" or so it says in rather artistic lettering on this CD case filled with PSX games and a couple weird things. It contained:

    X-Men: Children of the Atom
    Spiderman 2 - Enter: Electro
    Twisted Metal III
Disc 1 of Final Fantasy VII
Disc 2 and 3 of Final Fantasy VIII (I guess Mike got confused)
The Dukes of Hazzard II: Daisy Dukes It Out
    The Next Tetris
    Crash Bandicoot: Warped
    Dino Crisis demo disk
    Namco Museum Vol. 3
    Test Drive 4
    MLB 99
Scrabble for PC (I think it came in a box of cereal? o_O )
A CD-R of wedding photos and other personal pictures of Mike's O_o

All the discs are pretty beat up, but it seems like they're fine (haven't tried them all out just yet). The thing had no price, so I asked the lady there and she said "We were going to sell them for 3 bucks for each disc, but you can have the whole thing for $5." Okay, lady... o_O I thank you for you strange mathematical logic, and I thank Mike for his PS games.

For $10 (talked down from $15):

A boxed Dual Shock PlayStation in excellent condition with the plug, A/V cable, one controller, a Performance brand memory card, a "PS Hacker", CD Interactive Sampler Disc Vol. 9, and 3 complete games:
    FIFA 99
Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles (Greatest Hits)
    Shao Lin (PAL)

Kind of an interesting story behind this one. This young guy was explaining to me that he went on a vacation to Australia and bought Shao Lin there (which he said never came out in America, but I really have no idea about it o_O ) and that the PS Hacker is needed to play it. This is the very first PAL game I've ever owned, so that was definitely something that gravitated me towards this purchase. The game might be crap as far as I know, but it looks cool. :) It's also very convenient because now I can play PAL Star Ocean 2 whenever I get around to buying it.

For $20 (talked down from $25):

A black N64 with the plug (no A/V or RF)
4 N64 controllers with really nice sticks (blue, red, transparent purple, and grey)
A Perfomance brand Tremor pak and a Performance brand memory card
4 games: Mario Kart 64 (loose), Nascar 99 (complete), Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (complete), and Madden 99 (complete)

For $40 (originally marked as $75, lowered to $50, tried for $30, but $40 was the lowest they'd go):

A silver (platinum? what's the official color name?) GameCube with some colored pencil scribbles on it but the lady claimed it was barely used because they already have a couple GameCube systems
The plug and an Intec RF switch (who the hell uses RF for GameCube? o_O )
2 controllers (one matching the system and an orange one)
An official memory card (the smallest size, 59?)
2 games: Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of the Cortex (blech) and Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius (double blech)
And for some strange reason, an official N64 memory card

Still to this day the "Do you got any video game stuff?" question has yet to turn up anything for me, so everything I got was just laying out in the open. It's a little sad that I didn't see anything that was particularly old (besides a grossly overpriced SNES with 3 crappy sports titles and Super Mario World). One place had this really cool old dedicated Pong machine still in the box, but they had already sold it by the time I made it to that sale. I also wish I could've found some games I really wanted or systems I need like anything pre-NES (I already own every console I bought today). Now I just have to decide what to do with the stuff. The PSX and N64 will have to go since I already have two PlayStations and 3 N64s, but I'm tempted to keep the GameCube. o_O It's such a pretty color (I have a black one), and I can always use a second to leave here at my mom's house for summer vacation. Well, I don't know. For now I'm very content, and I have a lot of cleaning and testing ahead of me. :)

Oh, but if anyone actually needs non-Greatest Hits versions of disc 1 of Final Fantasy VII or disc 2 and/or disc 3 of Final Fantasy VIII, I'll be happy to trade for something equally worthless. :P
