Default Would demo cartridges count for this section? If so...

If demo cartridges can be spoken of here, I'll speak of them... The other day at the flea market, I was looking through some games at this certain odd booth. I was searching all through what they had, when I found, buried on the bottom shelf and sitting on top of a front-loader NES, a demo copy of Ken Griffey Jr.'s Winning Run (SNES). So I asked how much, and she said (insert number here), and I bought it. Now I'm wondering...would any of you be interested, and if so, how much would you give (or trade) for it? Post here or PM me, either one...

I found one once. I couldn't even sell it for five bucks. Ended up giving it away as a contest prize.

I got mine for $1.78 at Gamestop. Like nesman said it is definitely the most common demo for snes.

A little curious mb7241, how much did you pay for it?

I've persoanlly never seen it, but if it's so common....what is it like 10 times rare than the original, or more like 100 times?

Are you all saying its common for a demo version (still pretty rare) or common as far as all carts go?

I've seen them before as well, the most common of the demo carts that I have seen. As with others, I had a hard time getting rid of it so I gave it away in a secret santa package.

I wouldn't call it common as far as all carts go, but I wouldn't call it that uncommon either..

If you must know, I didn't shell out a huge amount of cash, but from what I'm gathering out of what you guys are saying, I mighta overpaid. I paid $5 for it. I thought it interesting enough to pay that for it. From the same seller (at East Ridge Flea Market in Chattanooga, TN, USA), I also bought a Phantasy Star IV (Genesis) instruction book and an Atari catalog for $2 each...

If it's something you think is cool, I don't see how $5 could be a bad purchase.

I should change my icon to Predator as well.. so I don't feel so left out.

and yeah $5 is nothing. I'd be lucky to even see a common NON demo go for that at the few stores I've found in this town. Toss it on a shelf and be happy knowing you have something kinda interesting.

Jred, completely off topic, but that Secret Ties label is excellent.

$5 is not a lot but you won't make a lot of $$$ if you sell it on ebay. It usually sells for less than $10 (I got mine for $4). SNES demos are hard to find but this one is the most common. If you want to see all the SNES demos check my website: http://www.er.uqam.ca/merlin/fd491499/nintendo/
