I love my PC-Engine games as much as the next guy, but something about the TG-16...I dunno. A real downside to SNES collecting is that there's a bazillion asshats out there bidding stuff up and asking for too much money. On the upside of SNES collecting:

i would definitely go with tg-16, the over all quality of alot of the games is stunning. i love my tg-16, and i have a snes also, but my tg-16 definitely gets more play. the bonk games are great, and so are most of the other games for turbografx, just stay away from the sports titles.

abdul, do I really need to answer this question?

But trying to be impartial, if it's overall depth of titles you want, regardless of the ratio of quality to schlock, go with SNES. If you want overall higher quality games and a great library that is possible to complete without mortgaging (much) of your future, go for the TG16. Also, if you want to collect boxes, that makes for a big challenge with the TG16.

Even though the PC Engine is probably my favorite system I would still have to go with the Snes. It's much easier to find games but the downside of it is finding boxed games is much harder.

Both very fun systems! For play value, only you can decide which system has the better games. I'd say Turbo, but I'm as biased as they come.

For ease on the wallet, I'd say the SNES by far. Sure every system always has it's expensive titles and rarities, but when's the last time you've seen some Turbo stuff off of the internet? Been about the mid 90's here. Plus, I've been sort of actively pursuing getting the entire numbers paltry library of TG titles for the past 4 years... I just accomplished that goal. I'm sort of a stickler, but some of the TG games you just can't find. With that being acknowledged, when you do find them they're usually not cheap. Even if you're like me, somethings you just have to break down for.

I'd hate to sway anybody against a truly great system but (unless you really like or have a connection with the Turbo) if ease on your wallet and the ability to go to the local game spots and buy games are a big issue... go with the SNES.

Turbo Grafx 16. I have quite a few games for the system and they are all DAMN good, plus Ive majorly enjoyed the ones I've played on emulation. And the there's importing.........phew.

Might be a bit hefty on the wallet. But most of the good rpgs and such aren't going to be ANY cheaper on the SNES so I'd say go tg16!
