Tommy Hilfiger edition was a mail-away offer. Send a check for $57.50 along with your sales reciept showing that you bought $50 worth of Tommy kids clothing.

That green one in the first picture came with a sewing machine. They sold one on ebay and I must say they are very cool. You link the two up and I think you make sewing patterns on the GB.

I hadn't owned a Super Gameboy until recently. When I went to play Harvest Moon 3 on it, it wouldn't let me (it has a clear case). That clears things up for me.

There is absolutely TONS of gameboy limited editions spanning right through the gb family/ Starting from the massive old style brick right through to the gameboy colour. Japan has the most of them but the USA & Europe got a few as well.

All the ones i own are japanese limited editions from the pokemon centre in japan.

This is one of the hardest gameboy lights to find, the only other one harder is the one toys r us japan released with a clear yellow shell.

This one is the 3rd anniversairy edition GBC. Its half blue & half orange.

And this is the pokemon gold/silver edition GBC with colour changing paint.

I wrote about it in the first issue of Manci Games. There's a picture in the article also.

I think I recall reading about a gold Gameboy which had jewels on the buttons that was on sale in Japan. The article was in an old EGM.

I saw a japanese Sakura Wars GBC on ebay sometime ago. It was pink with some cherry petals in detail and a Sakura game in the pack.

There's a red 'Manchester United' edition of (i think) the original chunky Gameboy.
I can't find any pics by Googling, but it's shown in an old issue of 'Edge'.

    http://www.imgcab.com/gameboy/gameboy0.html

That site has pics of a lot of the rare gameboys. If i had a camera I'd take a few pics of mine so you guys could see them. The rarest one I have is a Famitsu Skeleton Game Boy Light still in its box (which is full of sexual inuendos btw). But I've also got a Famitsu GBP, a Gold GBL, and several other limited editions that arent so rare. But the best part is, theyre all in their boxes still

Everything seems to be Japan only, except the Tommy and Singer models. As someone only interested in US releases, any info on US rarities? Are there only color variations?
