Default A Little Story About the DK:Tournamrnt Edition for SNES

uhg, now that I started collecting this stuff I really wanna kick my self. back when I was about 14 or 15 me and my friends would make bets with baseball cards or trade baseball crap... anywho one day he tells me he'll give me his Donkey Kong Country Game for SNES if I gave him like 100 or somthing stupid like that so I did..

I get the cart and it was the tournament edition so I was super pissed he jipped me out of a whole game I wanted to kill him, I was like THIS ISNT DONKEY KONG COUNTRY THIS IS SOME BOOTLEG SHIT!!!
long story short my mother goes to his house to straighten this mess out, he got his game back and I got my cards back.... now... I see the friggin price of this cart and I wanna kill myself !!! He said he got it from Nintendo Power and he bought it cause it was so cheap for a Donkey Kong Country cart, so he thought he was getting a bargin not knowing it wasnt the full game.... damn it to hell

track that kid down! lol....tell him it's part of your childhood or some crap.

although, you can't say you messed up, you were just a teen wanting a game to play. I mean, in the end, that's what this whole collecting biz is about anyways....having good games to play!

    Better than baseball cards.

dude, I made a stupid mistake like that for starfox super weekend, so don't feel bad. i bid $30 (I think) knowing good and well I was willing to pay at least $50 (on eBay). There is only 1 bid after mine, and the game for for $40. I remember it went for so cheap just because it was spelled wrong, weekend was spelled weeked

yeah, that seems to be common practice over here as well.
i have NEVER seen a starwing competition(pal version of star fox weekend)
cart on ebay germany that has been spelled or descripted correctly.

i have seen people listing it as a regular starwing game,
and one person even listed it as a beta.
but NOBODY of these had the brains to put the full damn name in the auction title.

Dude, a year or two ago I saw a StarFox Weekend cart at an EB games or something, it was 7.99. I knew it was special, hell my girlfreind noticed it was special. She asked, "is the StarFox special or something?" I nonchalantly replied, "yea it is pretty cool, I think it's a special pak-in or something."

I realized my mistake that evening when I checked the DP PDF guide. I was back at the store at 9:00 am the next morning and waited two hours for it to open, but, alas it was already gone. I am a freaking idiot, I (and my girlfriend) will never live down this monumental missed opportountity.

I doubt I will ever have the oportounity to get it or the Donkey Kong competition cart, fourtune may favor the foolish but lightning doesn't strike twice.
