No one does, but this is the Linux/Unix theory - if you can put it on something, put in on there. I think it's neat if not totally unnecessary.

I'm sure MAME will support UNIX on Scramble hardware in due time.

Besides the cool factor, there MUST be a useful pupose for this. Anyone?

I was just reading earlier how someone made their Gamecube a webserver while running Linux. You can also play NeoGeo roms on your GCN via an emulator in Linux.

I agree with all above -- both interesting and pointless.

while its all fine and great that someone could do this, there is no real point or useful application.....just a big waste of time so that someone could brag that they were the first to do it

I'd be impressed as shit if someone made a web server out of a GBA though...

If you can make a Web Server out of an Apple Newton, you probably can do the same with a GBA.

    Insert gratuitous Photoshopped joke here:

Here's something I'd like to see. Just for fun.

A distributed OS on a single handheld device... that's like spreading a spiderweb in a thimble.

Sadly, the GBA doesn't have Quartz Extreme. The SP does though. And with the DS, you'll be able to span across displays!
