Generally to post pictures, you need to host them on your own web space and just link to those images. Failing that though, send me a PM and I can host them for you.

Hey i'm sure the test cart is cool, but why do people always put in R10, or what ever rarity rating, it may have?... Some people seem get very excitable! :P

Non the less i look forward to the pics!

You must be new to forums. Welcome anyway. Just so you know, you didn't need to put @aol.com in your username.

Anyway, hurry and get the pics up. What is this "NTF2 Test Cartridge"? I'm curious.

I have a question. Would my "SNES Control Deck Tester" count as a "Test Cart"? I don't see it in the rarity guide and would love to know if it has any R value.

I use my NTF2 to test NES's and refurbished connectors. Handy dandy and uber cool. Plus, I'm actually using it for it's intended purpose.

    Hey Jasoco,

I'm not sure of there rating, but i have seen a few (4 or 5) go for $50 to $70 and also a friend of mine did a trade with another guy i know for 7 xbox games, can't remember the titles though

I say it's an R7, to be honest i don't really like giving video game stuff, R ratings!.. and there are quiet a few of those Control Deck testers around, alot of people just hold onto them!

Just wondering, would you consider selling it Jasoco? :P

No. I'm not selling. Also, I got it for $10 on eBay. R7 is nice. Would rather it be higher, but cool.

    Default NF2

I recently scored one of these as well. Probably one of my best finds of the year. It's not absurdly valuable, just cool. Probably worth $70-$125, depending on luck, the direction of the wind, who just got a bonus, whatever.

I'd have to think really hard about selling. Know what I mean? How do I know it's not worth more?

Ianoid i think your right but the figure is alittle high, but that would be ebay, Jasoco could put it up on ebay this week and get $30, next week he could put it up again, and get $80 it really is abit of a lottery.

$30? I think that's quite low. I would buy another one for $30 in a heartbeat. Someone had like 5 diagnostic carts on eBay and they all ended over $100. I'm not saying that's right, but I think that there are a long list of people who would (and will) pay $75 for those carts, and to say it's worth less is a stretch.

It's a nice rare cart that's worth a bit but not a ton. Let's not split too many hairs about it's exact value, but suffice to say, it's definitely something NOT worth more than $150, probably quite a bit less. And frankly, that's nice money, but nowhere near enought to separate me from a nice score. That's why I put up ranges of value, because it's hard to know where things will land.

Having said all this, I am not the most studied NES buyer on the web, and perhaps there's one up every week selling for $20 and I just don't know about it. Doubt it. But then NES 'protos' and preproduction carts aren't making much money despite their rarity and coolness factor.

I was only using the $30 to $80 as a marker, and i have seen the Snes deck tester go for $30 (although) that was a year or so back, and i'v also seen the counter deck tester go for $35 as well. (at the time i left it) telling myself there'd be more i'v only seen one since

    Well,

I've actually been researching for my NTF2 cart.. I considered it the holy grail of my collection, and last December jumped all over one that Jason Wilson was selling right here.

Paying close attention to each one that sold on eBay for the last 2 years, I can tell you with confidence that test carts are worth a lot more than 30$.

The average going price on eBay is about 200$+

If you get it for much less, consider yourself lucky!

I paid 125$ for mine, and until today consider it a great deal!

P.S. I look forward to seeing scans of other NTF2 carts here.. has anyone opened up theirs? Mine has 2 EPROMs with NTF2 stickers with version 1.1 on them. The label is black ink on white vinyl sticker. The stickers on the EPROMs look professionally printed on dot-matrix printer.

    Anyone else?
