Is it possible to bypass the lockout on the Mega Cd to play JAP or USA Games?

    any info would be appreciated!

There's 2 ways of doing that:

Buy a CDX cart - there's normally one or two on eBay. They allow any region combination of MD, MCD and game, but not all titles work (I don't think that the US Flashback works on UK units, for example).

Us SCDConv from http://www.pages.drexel.edu/~mrp29/convscd.html - rip the CD image, use the program to change the region code then re-burn it and play. I've never used this myself so I can't say if it will work with any combination you try.

an Pro CDX will do the trick ... but look before you buy, i bought one and that sucker will only work on a MegaCD, my MegaCD II needs another version of the Pro CDX (with red letters).

Need to find myself a MegaCD, i think it's cheaper than an Pro CDX for the MegaCD II if i look the eBay prices
