    Default Vtech's V-Smile - "game" system or "learning&

V-Tech is touting this as their new "educational video gaming system."

    http://www.vtechinc.com/?flash=true

So, I'd like to start a little debate. Is the V-Smile a gaming system, just another V-Tech learning system, or both? I'm just curious as to it's potential to be listed, in the future, on this site (as well as others) along side Sega's PICO, which is a "learning system" as well IMO.

Alot of us, myself included, have written the collectability of V-Tech's stuff off and whether they qualify as "vintage gaming," or something along those lines.

I myself have two main interests in the V-Smile...one, of course being it's collectability potential, and second, the fact that I have a daughter on the way. My wife and I have been looking at numerous educational things for Miss M. when she comes along, and this seems interesting to us both.

If you look at V-Tech's website, the V-Smile sorta looks like an N64, and has carts similar to the N64 as well. Of course the fact that it looks like an N64, doesn't make it a gaming system, or does it?

    Any thoughts?
All right youngens, bath time. Cover up your eyes and drop your britches! Who wants wax?

Well, if nothing else I think they have made one contribution to the gaming culture by inveting the word "Smartridges". Oh man I must come up with a use for that.

Ontopic, if it's got controllers and removable media and so on...
